(Y/n POV)

I groaned, slowly sitting up and taking off my helmet. My head felt like it was having mini explosions, and my eyes were having a hard time focusing. I sat there for a moment, trying to remember what happened. Then it hit me. "The pod!" I quickly turned around and immediately regretted it, as my head yelled at me for being stupid.

I decided to slowly get up, but I fell when I put pressure on my left ankle. "Gah!" I fell on my stomach, getting up on my hands to look on my ankle. Sprained. I growled and looked at the pod. I had to get to the radio. I used all my strength, ignoring the pain in my head and my body as I reached the pod, or what was left of it anyway.

I used the entryway to stand up, making sure to not use my left ankle. I hurried as fast as I could to the radio, picking it up frantically. "Dispatch, this is (Y/n) Patch, I've crash landed back on earth in some sort of jungle. Please pick up." I waited for an answer, only to hear the static. "Dispatch. Do you read me?" No answer. I sighed, sitting down on the floor.

"Great. This is just great." I cupped my hands together around my mouth. "I hope you're happy mom and dad! Is this the 'out of house' experience you wanted me to do!?" I folded my arms, knowing they couldn't hear me, like, not even close to it. I just needed to let it out. The space company dad works at, BASA, was looking for someone to try this new machine, and of course my parents volunteered me.

Why would they send a 15 year old girl with no experience in this field into space with a machine they hadn't tested before? I don't know, but they did. I know it was probably illegal, but oh well. I needed this stupid suit off, it was getting hot and this suit didn't help. Carefully to avoid hurting my ankle, I took off the suit and sighed in relief.

"....I gotta fix this junk pile." I said as I stood up, leaning on the wall and walked around. Where did dad say the manual was? I looked in cabinets, drawers, until I encountered my journal in the 'glove department.' I rolled my eyes, remembering dad told me to write down what happened every day I was away. "I'm not doing that."

I tossed the journal on the floor, continuing to look for the manual. The more I couldn't find it, the more frustrated I got. After about an hour, I threw my hands in the air. "Screw it! I'm not fixing this!" I stormed the best I could to the door, stepping on something on the floor. I looked down and saw it was the journal. I looked around, making sure no one was looking, (even though no one is there with me) picked up the journal, and walked to the door, sitting in the door way. There was a pencil inside the journal, and I started to write.

So, I'm not dead. Hip hip hurray. Lucky me. On the other side, the pod is totally unfixable, so it looks like I'm stuck here until someone finds me. I'm in a jungle, and there's no civilization anywhere to be seen. So, yeah, this is just fantastic. Hopefully it won't take long before I am found. I'm gonna kill my parents when I get home for making me do this.

I put the pencil back in place and shut the journal. Setting it aside, I looked around for the medical kit. I found it rather quickly, and thanks to my health class, I was able to wrap up my ankle. I smirked at my ankle when I finished. "Not too shabby. Thanks Mr. Piccolo." I got up and walked outside, looking for a stick to use as a crutch. I found two sticks that were almost perfect, and decided to use those.

I looked back at the pod, glaring at it. How did they think this was in any way safe? I shook my head, walking to look for something to repair the roof so rain wouldn't get through. Finding a large piece of bark, I bent down to pick it up, only to fall on my face and roll down the hill, hitting a log. I grunted as my back hit the log. I looked at my ankle and growled. "Stupid ankle.

Slowly and painfully, I made my way back up the hill. It was sunset, and it started to get cold. "I need a fire.." I said, rubbing my arms to keep warm. I was able to find some good sticks for a fire, and I brought them into the pod. Then I remembered the suit. I quickly put it on, immediately feeling warmer. Just to be safe, I tried to make a fire, just in case I got colder in the night. After about a half hour of trying, I sighed and laid on my side, trying my best to fall asleep.
