(Y/n POV)

"And that's how I ended up like... well, this." I gestured to myself, finally finishing the story of my 'transformation' to Scrooge. He wanted every single detail, none left out. His eyes were still wide, and his mouth was still agape. I put my hands in my new (f/c) jacket and waited for him to reply. Louie went away, and I'm assuming he's telling everyone else about what happened.

Scrooge had taken me to his office so we could discuss this in private, and boy was I nervous. But after I got it off my chest, I knew it would be okay, even if Scrooge was upset about it. He was plopped in his desk chair, nearly sleeping off of it and staring at me. I rubbed my arm anxiously, and after a moment of silence he took a deep breath and leaned on the desk.

"(Y/n), my dear." His voice was soft, and I grew suspicious. "Um.. yeah?" I raised a brow at him, waiting for him to continue. He opened his eyes lazily and looked at me. "Let me tell you a story." I tilted my head, remaining silent. Scrooge leaned on is chair, picking up a pencil and observing it as he spoke. "Years ago, when I was a young lad, maybe early 20's, I wondered into a cave, looking for my next treasure."

He looked at me, the same look on his face. "Deep into the cave I went, finding tunnels and caverns. Until I stumbled upon one of the most beautiful things to ever exist: the glowing tree of the moon." He stood up, slowly walking over to the other side of the desk, and sat on it, right in front of me. "I was so fixated on the tree, desperately craving to have it for my own. But I refused it, ignored the urges to take a piece." A soft smile wandered onto his face. "And I was rewarded with for my actions."

I titled my head. "What was the reward?" He chuckled and looked at me. "A piece of the tree. A crystal. It was one of the greatest treasures I had ever received. The tree whispered things to me, things of love and kindness. And I understood that the crystal wasn't the treasure." I raised a brow. "Than what is?" He looked at the window. "The life the crystal gave." "It gave life? To who?" Scrooge chuckled and ignored my question. "The tree told me the life it created would appear into my life, in a very unexpected way, and undergo an extreme change. It told me the crystal would glow when it's creation was close, and the being that was given life would become one with the tree once again."

"However, one person was not happy I had reached the tree before them. That person was Magica De Spell. She took a branch from the tree, turning it from it's beautiful white and silver shine, to a dark, dull black and purple. The tree cried for help, but I couldn't do anything for it, except wait for the being of the tree to find me and return the crystal to the tree. Doing so will restore the tree, and make the moon full of life once again."

He went to the other side of his desk, and bent down. I heard him moving things, and he eventually put a large crystal piece on his desk. It was glowing a bright white, and it was almost blinding to look at. "That being that was given life, is you." I looked at the crystal, feeling the same tingling feeling from when I held the staff Magica had owned. I reached out to it, and the sensation grew stronger. I pulled back at the sudden burst of energy..

I looked at Scrooge, worry in my eyes. "So.. you're saying that thing I turned into when I fought Magica.. that was because I'm... I'm the being of life the tree created..?" Scrooge nodded, folding his hands behind his back. "The goddess, Selene, of the moon made the tree, giving the moon one last hope to return the life to the moon. You are that person to return the life to the moon, (Y/n). That is why you were brought to our world. It wasn't an accident."

"When did you figure I was the one..?" I looked at the crystal, trying to ignore the sensation it was giving me. "When you first came into my home, the crystal glowed. Faint, but it glowed. Then during the fight with Magica, and you turning into that hero, and now that you've undergone this change."

"Don't be afraid (Y/n), you are stronger than you may believe." He picked up the crystal, walking over to me, and opening his hands to give it to me. I looked at his hands, the crystal glowing. I hesitantly grabbed the crystal, gasping at the energy coursing through my body. I felt my body transforming, and everything changing. After a small gust of wind, I opened my eyes to see the same suit and hairstyle that appeared on me when I held the staff, except this time, I was a duck.

I looked at Scrooge. "You changing into this person isn't a mistake either lass. Changing into a duck is the real form you were given, but you ended up in a different world. I don't know why or how you ended up there, but the tree had a reason to send you there. The tree had a reason for you to crash in the jungle. The tree had a reason for all that has happened to you my dear, and I want you to know that."

I looked down at the crystal, then back at Scrooge. He gave a soft smile. I teared up and hugged him tightly, and he didn't hesitate to return the hug with the same amount of strength. I cried softly, holding onto him and the crystal tightly. He pet my hair, attempting to calm me down as he did so. After a moment, I calmed down and wiped my eyes, looking at him with a smile. "Okay.. I'll do it.."
