(Y/n POV)

Scrooge sat me on one of the seats in the plane, telling me to just rest and take it easy. "I'll be back, just wait for a few minutes, and I'll help yer foot, ok?" I nodded, and he walked away. I looked around the plane, interested in my new environment. Scrooge came back with a med kit in hand and kneeled in front of me.

He gently lifted my foot, causing me to hiss. He set my foot on his knee, and I held back the tears in my eyes. "Sorry lass, I'll try to be as quick as I can. Try to think of something else." He gently rubbed my bruised and swollen ankle, making me dig my nails into the arms of the chair. He sighed, looking up at me. "It's definitely broken lass, how long has it been since you hurt it?"

I bit my lip, thinking I was stupid for assuming it was just sprained. I looked down at my ankle, embarrassed to look Scrooge in the eyes. "A-about 10 days.." "Hm.. alright. I'm going to get a pail of ice for you to put it in, and then we'll get it fixed at home." He gently set my foot down, and I hissed again. He left, and when he came back he had ice water in a bucket.

"This will be softer on yer foot, not as much points to jab yer ankle." He set it down in front of me, lifting my leg from the knee into the bucket of cold water. I gasped at how cold it was, but my ankle started to feel better. Scrooge smiled at me and was about to say something, when he was interrupted by a group of people climbed on the plain.

"Scrooge! You missed the coolest booby traps! There were lasers, arrows, and - what in the world what is that." A small duck pointed at me. He was wearing a blue t-shirt over a light blue long sleeved shirt, and he had a modern hair cut. Behind him was a duck his size in red with a baseball cap, and a duck his size with a green sweater, and there was a duck their size wearing a purple shirt and pink skirt.

Behind them was a duck with a black sailor outfit with a white sailor hat. He looked exhausted, with ash all over him. When they saw you, they all stood stiff and wide eyed. I nervously looked away, not wanting the attention. Scrooge glared at the blue one. "Dewey, who is that, not what is that." He said, then his smile came back. "Nephews, Webby, this is (Y/n) Patch. (Y/n), these are my nephews, Huey in red, Dewey in blue, Louie in green and Donald in the sailor outfit. And my niece Webby is in the purple."

They all kept their eyes on me, their mouths agape. I shyly waved, getting embarrassed from the staring. Scrooge cleared his throat. Webby and Dewey both gained a large smile on their face, and all the kids ran over to me. "You're a human!" Webby shouted. I nodded nervously, looking at each of them. "The junior woodchuck guidebook says humans are just a myth! How are you here?" Huey was holding a pen in the open book. "I-I don't know-"

"Do you have sharp teeth? Are you a predator?" Dewey gasped. "Are you gonna eat us?" "I-" "We are gonna be duck soup! Like in that one horror movie with the human!" Louie jumped in with a smirk, teasing the others. Webby scoffed. "Yeah right, she's not even as big as Scrooge!" I smiled nervously, holding back my anxiety.

"Alright, alright, that's enough kiddos." Scrooge and Donald pulled the kids off of me. I sighed in relief, my anxiety going down a little. "But uncle Scrooge! This is one of the biggest mysteries to ever be discovered!" Huey yelled. "I know lad, but she's clearly terrified. You all are way to hyper for her right now." Scrooge and Donald blocked them from reaching me. They picked them up and sat them on the opposite side of the plane from me, around the railing. "You kids stay here until we get home." Donald said, though I was barely able to understand what he was saying.

The kids groaned and folded their arms, looking at Donald grumpily. Scrooge walked to the front of the plane. "Launchpad, let's go home." "Aye Aye cap'n!" I tall duck was sitting in the pilot seat. How did I not notice him before? Scrooge and Donald talked quietly upfront, and I sat wondering what they were saying. Then a flash made me flinch as I was temporarily blinded. "Dewey!" I heard all three kids but Dewey yell-whisper. I looked at them and saw Dewey sheepishly smiling and the other three looking at him angrily.

When they noticed I was looking, they quickly looked away and started to whistle. I tilted my head but looked back at Scrooge and Donald, trying to hear what they were saying. I jumped when I felt a hand on my leg, and I quickly looked at it. It was Dewey. "I wanted to ask you one thing before Scrooge finds out I left my seat. How old are you?" "I-I uh, I'm 15.." I said nervously. "Is that young in your world?" I thought about it for a moment. "It's pretty young, the normal human l-life expectancy is around 80 y-years I think..." He made an 'o' shape with his mouth.

Webby quietly made her way over to us. "So, you're really young in both of our worlds, huh? We're 10, and we have about the same life expectancy, although it's completely random." I nodded, and was kind of surprised that they were only 10. I was thinking about 12 or 13. Louie came over next with his hands in his pockets. "So, you're not too much older than us, huh?" I smiled lightly, nodding. Huey was the last to come over. "You said about 80 years. How many days are in a year for you?" "um.. 365.." They all smiled. 'We have the same time frame!"

"Oi! Get back in yer seats before I make ya fly out the plane!" Scrooge waved his cane towards the kids. They quickly ran over and sat down, looking at Scrooge. He turned back to Donald, and I giggled quietly. This was so much better than being in the jungle alone.
