Coming back from school, the gray-eyed boy instantly went to search for Ellie. Reaching the room where she stayed, he expected her to be giggling, but he opened the door just to see the baby girl under blankets in her mother's arms. "Zia Nora, cosa è successo a Ellie?", (Aunty Nora, what happened to Ellie?) a confused Killian asked, coming beside Eleonora, who smiled in return. "Si è ammalata, bambino" (She fell sick, baby boy), she replied, caressing the boy's hair.

Killian was always dearest to Eleonora; being the eldest child of the knights and the future Capo was a different thing, but Eleonora and Killian always shared a beautiful bond, a bond of friendship. A bond of love. Before Eleonora and Riccardo got married, she frequently visited the Knight mansion. The duo bonded over the period, and now that Ellie has been born, their friendship has strengthened. Although Kevin and Killian's sister were given the same love,Killian had a special place in her heart.

A gloomy look appeared on Killian's face. "Ehi, starà bene, è solo una normale febbre", (Hey, she'll be okay, it's just a normal fever), Eleonora said, placing a soft kiss onthe back of his hand. "Starà bene, vero?", (She'll be okay, right?) he asked, taking a glance at the wrapped baby girl with a red nose and blushy cheeks. Nodding her head, Eleonora asked, "Perché non pranzi e fai un pisolino con Ellie?", (Why don't you have your lunch and take a nap with Ellie?) to which Killian's eyes brightened. "Posso?", (Can I?) he asked while she hummed back wearing a small smile.

Seeing a jubilantKillian running back outside, bouncing, Eleonora laughed softly. He showered, changed into casuals, and had his lunch rather quicklythan normally. Meanwhile,a bouncy Killian couldn't wait to express to his mother how happy he was. "Zia Nora, ha detto che posso dormire con Angel", (Aunt Nora, said I can sleep with Angel), to which his mother ruffled his hair and laughed, scrunching up his face. "Mamaaaa..", he whined.

Returning to the room, he saw Eleonora making a place for him, and he laybeside Ellie, keeping a hand on her and closing his eyes to sleep.

Flashback over

"Lei ha risposto?", (Did she reply?) A very impatient Killian sat beside his mother and father, tapping his feet anxiously, wearing a black high-neck with a black trench coat and black pants, while they stifled their laughs. "Abbi pazienza bambino", (Have patience, baby boy), Camila said, handing him his coffee. "Ilaria is landing tonight; you have to pick her up", Giovanni said, glancing at his wife, who looked at him and couldn't help but give the biggest smile.

Ilaria was born five years after Killian. Ilaria, the only daughter of knights who went to study in Italy for higher education, was also a very cheerful person; she has been trained since childhood to protect herself compared to Ellie, who was sheltered all her life.

Nodding his head, Killian finished the coffee and moved out of the house.

He stopped the car in front of the Arbens, and soon Kevin came in view wearing a white shirt and navy blue pants with a navy-blue hoddie, his sleeves rolled up. Behind him, a tiny head peeked out: Ellie. Killian felt his heart stop for a minute. She looked Carino.... (cute), wearing a white robe with a grey top, trousers, and robe.Gattina.Pouting, she held onto Kevin's hoddie, which he held in his hand. "Boba, I wanna go too", Ellie whined, shaking her head negatively. To which Killian chuckled, seeing his baby pout and whine. A rare sight.

Sighing, Kevin turned to her and said, "Principessa, you are sick. I don't want you to catch a fever; you are already sneezing. Just look at your nose," he said. Hidding her nose behind her hand, she said, "See no more red." Chuckling, he ruffled her hair. And Ellie sneezed again. Kevin sighed, looking at her face again and back at Killian, who was already looking at the duo. "Fine, go tell Mamma and Papà, and wear a hoodie on the way back!", he replied to Ellie, who had already run off to the living room.

Where Killian was smiling, looking at the honey-eyed beauty running off, he was, however, nervous to know her answer. What if she denies? The tiny, doe-eyed girl knew how to manipulate people; however, she was unaware of the dangers looming over her. Kevin opened the door and sat on the passenger seat, wearing a mischievous smile. "Soooooo... qualcuno è ansioso eh?", (someone's anxious, huh?).

"Stai zitto", (shut up) Killian mumbled. Before Kevin could speak, there was a knock on his window. "Boba, you know I always sit in the front." Sighing, Kevin sat in the backseat. "Hey! I asked you to wear a hoodie on your way back", Kevin exclaimed when he saw Ellie in the same robe. "Hehe".

Taking off his coat, Killian handed it to Ellie, who took it happily. "Hi, Killian, sweetheart, and thank you", she said, wearing it and sneezing again. The coat almost drowned her; she looked like a kitten. Killian couldn't help but smile when he saw Ellie wearing his coat.

"Where are we going?", Ellie asked, looking at the unfamiliar roads. "Airport", Kevin replied, keeping a hand on her lap. Warmy, and then a series of questions started, with Killian and Kevin listening, and before any one of them could answer, she would ask another question.

"Are we there yet?"

"Why are we going to the airport?"

"it's drizzling! Look"

"Can we stop at the McDonald's?".

Reaching the airport, they waited outside the departures. Until they heard a squeal. Killian remained unfazed; however, Kevin and Ellie got startled and turned to look at the source of the sound. There stood a tall girl with black hair tied in a low ponytail, a beige V-neck sweater, beige loose pants, and a few black uniform men behind her. She came running and hugged Kevin. "Ciao piccolo", (Hi baby), the girl squealed again. "Oh my", Ellie squealed, seeing a random girl hug her Boba when the girl pulled back and hugged Killian, and lastly, "Ed ecco la principessa", (And here is the princess), the girl squealed.

Huggies and pretties, Ellie thought, and she hugged her back.

Pulling back, "Guardati così cresciuta, una ragazza così carina", (Look at you, so grown up, such a pretty young girl), She kissed her cheeks. "Morbida", (soft) she said, kissing her other cheek, making Ellie giggle softly. Making the girl giggle too. While both of the men dragged the giggling bundles toward the car. "I am Ilaria, Tesoro. (Darling) we used to play a lot when we were kids. We used to be besties", Ilaria said to Ellie, who was looking at her with awe. "I had a best friend", "I am Ellie, and this is Boba, and Ohhhhh", they all chuckled, even Killian, who gave a slight soft smile.

Which didn't go unnoticed by Ilaria. "Già sorridente, eh?", (Already smiling, huh?) Ilaria said, giving Killian a smirk, who shook his head, sitting on the driver's seat. While the girls talked and giggled at random things, Killian drove to McDonald's.
