Fingertips with an iron tight grip.
Eyelashes blinking
a mind limitless.
She fights to keep her mind away,
yet to depressing images they seem to stray.
Its an outer body experience you can not feel.
You can see it happen, you know it's real.
She tries so hard to avoid it; slowing down its pace.
But she still winds up slipping into that darkened place.
