It had started out as innocent fun, with the best of intentions.
It wasn't as if Jennie wanted her wife to fail at her latest social mixer with all kinds of important people from the Los Angeles art world.
No, nothing was further from the truth. She and Jisoo had stayed up all night, celebrating with one another. With the added benefit of Lisa and Irene coming over to stay a few nights and help them settle into their new home with Jena, Jisoo and Jennie were granted some evening babysitting so they could...discuss adult matters.
Or, so they told their three year old, who was cheeky and all too eager to barge in on any other occasion.
In fact, the evening prior had been so relaxing, so fun, Jennie couldn't even recall where it had gone wrong.

Jennie's legs tangled with Jisoo's as she turned herself over on her side to face her wife fully, both of them recovering from a very pleasant round of "Adult discussion".
Jisoo was breathless, chuckling amusedly at her own thoughts as she wound her arms around Jennie's hips, pulling her closer.
"Laughing after sex isn't good for my ego." Jennie quipped, and Jisoo grinned.
She loved that, after so many years, they'd maintained their core relationship as best friends. It was one thing to be married to someone whom she loved so dearly, another, for that person to be her best friend.
"Sometimes we laugh during sex." Jisoo pointed out smugly.
"Jisoo, some things are never meant to leave this room." Jennie was smiling nonetheless, tracing patterns on the small of Jisoo's back. "But, for the record...why were you laughing just now?"
"Lisa's gift." Jisoo fell into a new series of chortles, burying her face in Jennie's shoulder ungracefully.
Jennie couldn't help but smile. Jisoo relaxing like this, being so comfortable...it was her whole world.
"And what, pray tell, did Manoban do this time?" Jennie added more bite to her tone than necessary, particularly concerning Jisoo's trouble-making friends, but it all seemed to be in jest.
"Do you remember that...uh...gift she got me in high school?" Jisoo questioned curiously, glancing up into deep brown eyes.
