Takara felt a chill run over her lower back, so she snuggled closer to the warmth that radiated from one side of her body. She moved her leg, only to find it met with an obstacle. Confused, she moved her arm, finding her fingers gliding against something smooth and well-defined, not soft and like fabric.

Her hazel eyes fluttered open and she released a yelp of surprise, pushing away from the man beside her in shock. He groaned, forcing himself awake.

She fell back onto the mattress, deliberately hiding her body under the bed-sheets and covering her brightly flushed face in the pillow.

On the other hand, Izaya felt fulfilled and relieved, suddenly more comfortable around his fiancée again and not shy and insecure. He grinned upon seeing the thoroughly embarrassed girl. With a pleased smirk, his long fingers found the nape of her neck and began to slowly trail down her spine, pulling the red blankets from her body as she shivered.

"Izaya..." She whined.

"Good morning, Taka-chan." He hummed happily, not hesitating to continue with his teasing.

"Sto-o-op..." She continued, her words muffled by the pillow.

"Hm? I can't hear you."

"Izaya." Her face was becoming redder.

"What's that?" His fingers reached the sensitive part of her lower back. She shivered and abruptly rolled over, catching his wrists to keep him from moving further. He smirked with pleasure. "You're exposed." He said as he effortlessly broke free of her grasp and captured her wrists. He kissed her clavicle as he felt her entire body grow hot with embarrassment.

"Izaya!" She screeched, though not particularly doing anything to protest.

She felt his lips curve into a satisfied grin against her pale skin. He playfully trailed his tongue along the thin skin that covered her collarbone. He began to suck on the gentle skin, leaving a dark mark when his lips left her skin.

"Izaya!" She yelled again, frustrated at his actions. "Stop!" She demanded, and then muttered, "I need the pill."

"The pill?" He tilted his head to the side in confusion.

She hurriedly pulled the sheets over her bare chest. "You know, the 'morning after pill' or 'Plan B...'" She trailed shyly.

He erupted into laughter. "We used protection."

"I know, idiot!" She retorted, weakly punching his arm. "But there's still..."

"The one-percent chance?" He chuckled. "You're too paranoid."

She rolled on her side with a pouted lip. "Meanie." She mumbled.

"It's alright." He laughed. "I'm just teasing you. There's no such thing as being too safe. I'll pick them up with breakfast. You, just relax."

He kissed her blushed cheek and got up from the round bed. He picked out a pair of clothes and left.

Once he was gone, Takara stretched out her arm, examining the diamond ring that adorned her hand. She smiled to herself, feeling butterflies tickle her stomach. She felt like a high school girl whose fairy-tail dreams all started to come true. What she found funny is that Izaya, having known her for thirteen years and being close to her all throughout high school, knew that he was making her dreams come true. She bit her lip to suppress a giggle.

Takara took a deep breath when they arrived in Las Angeles. A smile adorned her face as she declared, "I'm back!"

"Oh, that's right." Izaya blinked as though he suddenly realized a fact that he had forgotten when planning the vacation. "You went to college in Las Angeles, didn't you?"

She nodded.

For their remaining time in Las Vegas, Izaya and Takara did various Vegas-like things as they avoided going clubbing due to the previous happenings. And two days later, they were now in sunny Las Angeles.

"You should spend a day with your friends while you're here." Izaya suggested warmly as he squeezed her hand.

"I'm here with you, Izaya." She sighed, her lips curved into an assuring smile.

"So? What's one day?" He encouraged. "We've had a lot of time together, and we'll have forever together."

She gasped as a thought crossed her mind.

"See, you look excited."

"No, I mean, I just thought..." She trailed, placing a finger on her lip. "If I do go out with my friends, I think I should go dress shopping."

"Sounds like a fun thing to do."

"Izaya, I meant wedding dress shopping." She explained.

"Oh, right." He seemed suddenly surprised, as if he was just reminded that they have an entire wedding to plan. "I forgot we have a wedding to get to!"

"I feel like we skipped to the honeymoon phase." She joked.

"There's no problem with that."

"But still, do you think that's a good idea?"

"To go wedding dress shopping? The stores are probably a lot better here than in Shibuya or Ikebukuro, and I want you to spend some time with your friends." He looked at her with a white smile. "Yes, I think it's a great idea."

"Okay, then I need you to promise me something." She stepped in front of him with a pleading expression. She lifted a finger as he brows knitted together in a manner as if to say 'sorry.' "I know you have a... knack for wanting know everything. You know how I used to call you a 'stalker...'" She trailed shyly, not wanting to hurt him.

He nodded to show he was listening.

"It's really important to me that my dress remains a secret until I walk down the aisle. I already love you, so I can't say that I wouldn't, but I would really, really appreciate it if you would not do anything to see it beforehand. Like, even when it arrives at the apartment, please don't look at it." She clasped her hands together as if praying.

He gently clasped his hands over her smaller ones and kissed her nose. "I know this is important to you. I promise that I won't look at it, or follow you to see it." He laughed at his last comment, knowing very well that it was a habit. "But in exchange, you have to promise me something."

She nodded. "Of course."

"Okay, maybe two things." He reasoned. "First of all, have fun with your friends. Second, but probably more important, I want you to feel like the most beautiful girl in the world in your dress. Don't seek to please your friends, family, or even me. Wear the dress that makes you feel happy."

She felt tears burn in her eyes.

"Wait! Don't cry!" He was suddenly flustered by her tears.

"I'm sorry." Shesaid through a smile. "I just really love you."
