Stiles and I rush into the locker room and Stiles literally slides in saying, "Dude, we have a huge problem."

Scott nods. "Trust me--I know."

I meet up with Lydia and Allison in the forest the next day. Allison wants to practice using her crossbow before we buy dresses.

Lydia crosses her arms and frowns. "Allison--When you said you needed to stop for an errand before we went shopping--a five-mile hike in the woods was not what I was expecting."

Allison turns to Lydia. "Before I forget, I wanted to ask if you're okay with something. Jackson asked me to the winter formal."

"Did he?" Lydia asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Huh." Allison notes. "Just as friends. But I just wanted to make sure you're okay with it first."

"Sure. As long as it's just friends."

Allison gives Lydia a weird look before turning to me. "Well, yeah, I mean--it's not like I would take him to the Coach's office during lacrosse practice to make out with him or anything."

"Okay, I didn't make out with him." I protest.

Lydia chuckles awkwardly. "Uh, about that--"

"Lydia!" I yell.

She shoots me an apologetic smile, then looks down at Allison's crossbow. "What does that do?"

Allison shrugs. "We're about to find out."

We hear a strange sound and instantly tense. "What the hell was that?" Lydia whispers.

"I don't know." Allison says, shooting the crossbow to cause a flash of light to hit a tree.

"Well--that was fun! Any more lethal weapons you wanna try out?" Lydia asks sarcastically.

"I have one." I reply.

At the same time, Allison says, "Hold this."

Lydia frowns. "What? Why?"

"Because I thought I heard something."

"So--what if you heard something?"

"So--I want to find out what that something is. Don't worry. It's probably nothing."

Lydia's frown deepens. "Well, what if that nothing is something and that something is something dangerous?"

"Shoot it." Allison says simply before walking towards the sound.

Lydia glances to me and I say, "I have a sword and know how to use it. Don't worry. And I think I can manage a crossbow."

"Good. What do you think it is?"

"No idea. Hopefully nothing bad."

We leave the forest and by suggestion, I'm dropped off at Stiles' house. I hop out just as he's heading to his Jeep. He sees me and motions for me to hop in. "We're headed to Scott's. His mom is going on a date with Peter Hale."

We near where Melissa is and Stiles rear-ends the car in front of us. We exit the car and Stiles says, "Mrs. McCall?"

"Yes!" Melissa yells. "Megara? Was this your idea or his? No, don't answer that. It's his. I'm hoping you have nothing to do with this."

Stiles runs a hand across his head. "Wow, this is--this is just crazy. What a coincidence, huh? Megara has nothing to do with this. All my idea."

"Ha ha--" Melissa says sarcastically.

Stiles continues stuttering. "I mean--I do not know what happened. You guys just came out of nowhere."

"Came out of nowhere! We were parked on the side of the road, Stiles."

He chuckles awkwardly. "How crazy is that? I mean, we should probably call the cops, you know, do like an accident report thing."

Peter walks over. "I don't think that's necessary."

"Are you sure? I think I'm feeling a little whiplash."

Melissa scoffs. "Whiplash? You hit us!"

Stiles continues flexing his neck. "I don't know--there's something definitely wrong with my neck."

Melissa narrows her eyes. "Stiles, take Megara home. You, young lady, are going to stay there and get to bed at a reasonable time."

Stiles takes me back and gives me a hug. "See you Monday. Unless I see you this weekend."

"See you, Stiles."

I walk inside and up to my room and decide to call Chiron to keep him updated. "Oh Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering. Fleecy, do me a solid and show me Chiron."

Chiron appears and smiles. "Hello, Megara. What news do you have?"

"Well, I know who the Alpha is. There's three werewolves. Derek Hale, his uncle Peter, and my friend, Scott. Peter is the Alpha. Stiles and Scott know I'm a demigod, by the way. They found out and I had to tell them."

"Be careful, Megara. From the little I know about the Hales, Peter especially, they're dangerous."

"I figured. Peter seems to be on a revenge mission. Derek doesn't seem too bad. He wants to become allies with Scott."

"Keep safe, Megara."

The Iris Message switches to somewhere I don't recognize. "Perce! How are you?!"

He grins goofily. "I'm good. I miss you. How are you?"

"I'm good. How's camp?"

"Camp is fine, but is a lot different without you. How about Beacon Hills? I heard a little."

"Beacon Hills is interesting. I've definitely made some good friends."

"Good. One of us needs to visit the other. Maybe I can arrange some people to come to Beacon Hills."

"That'd be great! I keep meaning to come to camp, but things keep happening. I'll try, hard as I can, but it might be awhile."

Percy smirks. "Then I may have to come see you. We're actually at this camp called Camp Jupiter. It's in San Francisco, so we're kinda close. Gotta go; Annabeth is calling me."

"Tell her I say hi."

He smiles. "Will do. Love you, Meg."

"I love you too, Percy."

The Iris Message disappears and I'm left alone in my room. I flop dramatically on my bed and feel my eyes instantly close.
