There's an inward debate in my head as I try to figure out how to get her attention.
Do I just call out her name?
Or do I go over to her?
Is that even her?
I squint my eyes again as a small cloud of doubt begins to cloud my initial shock, trying in vain to make out her features once more as the sun glares through the corner of my vision.
The water on the surface of the lake still ripples after she had thrown the rock directly at it. I had only questioned the action for a second, but halted myself after a while.
This is all in my head after all. . . it wouldn't hurt not to think too hard.
