Jennie's currently doing her rounds. Going room by room to check her patients. She's about to go inside the last door when she received a call so she grab her phone and saw 'director' on the screen so she stepped back a bit and answered the call
"Yes director?" She asked as she look down at her shoes
"Can you please come up here and discuss the patient's case that you handled last?" he asked
"Yes director.. I'll just finish my rounds and go up there" she said with full of respect as she walk inside her last patient's room to check him up.
Once she's all done she walk through the hallways and looked around.. she haven't seen Lisa for the whole day and that's so weird. She looked behind her and the hallways are close to being empty so she just shrugged it off and went straight to the elevator going up to the director's office.
"Dr Kim" the director greeted when she entered the room. She bowed down 90° to show her greetings and respect "sorry for calling you up.. you might be very busy correct?" He said in a monotone
"It's alright director" she said in a professional type of way making the director nod.
"Please take a seat Dr Kim" he said so Jennie nodded and walk towards the couch to sit down. The director put a folder on the table and Jennie grab it to check it all out "I would like you to elaborate the patient's problem" he said making Jennie nod. They started going through every page that is inside the folder as Jennie explains everything throughly when the door opened without any knock making Jennie look up while the director doesnt seem to be fazed by the sudden action. Jennie look towards the door and saw Lisa walking in with an ice cream on her hand as she's eating it. Jennie immediately got confused to the lack of respect to the director.
"Jennie Hi" she greeted happily but the older girl just have her confused face. Lisa then walk towards the couch infront of the girl and Lisa didnt even bow down nor acknowledge the director
"Doctor Kim sit down.. let her be" the director says so Jennie sit back down. She look toward the director who doesn't seems to be fazed by the way Lisa just entered the room. He just sit there looking through some papers when they heard Lisa throwing herself down on the couch right infront of Jennie.
"Dr. Kim, is the patient resting?" He asks making Jennie look back at him as he look up at Jennie and the brunette girl just nodded back at the director.
"Why'd you call me?" Lisa asked with no amount of respect towards the director. Jennie looked at Lisa like she's committing a very serious crime but the director's facial expression didn't even change a bit.
"Before that.. Dr. Kim this is Dr. Manoban from the pediatric unit. Lisa this is Dr. Kim a general surgeon and also the best doctor in this hospital" he said looking at her
"Except me? Ofcourse of course" Lisa said bragging about it making me roll my eyes from her as she chuckle
"Sorry about her.. She's my granddaughter" the director said making Jennie's eyes widen but she keeps her posture and cleared her throat like she wasn't shocked about the information just a few seconds ago. Jennie look towards Lisa who already have an annoying smile on her face as she keeps her eyes on the smaller woman right infront of her
"By the way I called you here for a couple of things.. You can stay Dr. Kim you're not a stranger here" he says before I can even stand up to give them some time for themselves.
"Dr. Kim while I'm talking to Lisa can you check more papers of the patient and tell me about it later" the director said so Jennie nodded and grab the folder and started reading but she can't help but to listen to what they're talking about since they're just a couple of meters away from her
"How's your head?" The director said
"Feels like cracking sometimes" Lisa said sighing as she pat her head softly looking towards Jennie who seems to be busy with the folder
"Are you drinking your medicine?" He asks back to Lisa
"Yeah I also visited Dr Lee for a check up.. He told me it's normal at times" Lisa said shrugging her shoulders
"Rest when you need to alright?" He said making Lisa nod "and also one more thing.. You're getting a lot of nice words from your patients so keep it up" he said
"I told you I'm the best doctor you have here" she says bragging again making her grandfather shake his head
"Go now before Dr. Kim gets mad at your cockiness " he said making Lisa chuckle as she stood up and kept bidding goodbye to Jennie while the other one just ignored it as she's still thinking about their talk. She'll understand it if it's just a normal headache cause she's really allowed to drink medicine if so but then she also stated that she's visiting Dr. Lee which is a psychologist.
"Dr Kim" the director said in a much louder voice making Jennie snap out of her thoughts as she look towards the director
"Yes director?" She asks
"Never mind.. Go take that folder with you and review it. I'll just call for you some other time. " he said so Jennie nodded and stood up bowing down towards the director before leaving.
It can't be taken away from her mind.. Lisa's probably going through some mental health problems but she doesn't seem like it since she's a very bubbly person...who's also too bubbly that annoys Jennie with all the time she has.
