[Continued from Chapter 4 (part 1)]
A hologram of the time station laid in the center. The words 'Trading Center' revolved around it. Beyond it was a plaza with jumping fountains and beyond that were shops as far as the eye could see. Each shop was rectangular with a glass window stretching around the outside. The windows displayed mini rockets and ballerinas and robots with adorable eyes. And there was so much more that could not be named. Drones flew off from the shop's roofs forming traffic networks on the dome ceiling, littered with airlock holes where drones disappeared into. It seemed this station never ceased to amaze her. There was always something new around the corner which she could fully adore.
"You always stand gawking like that," Dynica teased, "C'mon, we can't help you find anything if you wait around here."
As they walked down the plaza Rylan eyed everything with wonder. Girls crowded around animal gum, chrome plant life, batons that spun in the air leaving rainbow colors. One room had a holographic projector where Girls crowded around a holographic ballerina. A girl tried gravity shoes and walked on walls. A group of three wore bouncing shoes jumping over Rylan and the others. Sylvia left the group to become one with the glass, staring at exotic hairstyles with twisting braids.
"This way," Dynica led, "Hand scanners are on sale."
"Shouldn't we get Sylvia first," asked Yavin.
"Nah, she's in hairstyle heaven. We best not disturb her."
"See anything you liiike Rylan?"
Each item displayed a price tag hologram on the side. Their prices were well in the thousands!
"Well, I don't think I can afford anything," she answered meekly.
"No fear," Dynica assured, "Zoe was like you her first time. Suggested she buy an omnisphere color but she just haaad to get that wind-up toy."
"Can't I have fun Dynica," Zoe fake cried.
"Oooh that's right. You two didn't get colors yet," said Yavin.
"It's a must have for any sphere," Dynica held up her bracelet with revolving rainbow colors, "This is one of the cooler ones."
"So it's not expensive," Rylan asked.
"Solid colors are 5 points," said Evelyn, "They're the cheapest thing here."
"And best of all you keep any color you have," said Dynica as her bracelet returned to its solid orange color, "We'll stop by after I get a new hand scanner."
They eventually came to a console with an omnisphere interface. They could place their omnisphere in a glass case above and change its colors by interacting with the screen.
"Will give ya some time to think," Dynica told Rylan, "Zoe, wanna go first?"
"Yep," Zoe said, "Pretty sure I know what I want."
She placed her sphere in the container and pressed buttons on the screen. Rylan watched as Zoe's sphere magically changed color as she scrolled her fingers. She stopped at violet and confirmed her purchase. The sphere flew out as liquid metal and snapped onto her wrist.
"Your turn Ry," said Zoe.
Rylan didn't know where to start. She tried red, magenta, blue, orange, and green, but none stood out to her. She eventually landed on light blue and an inner 'yes' told her that was it. Confirming her purchase, she looked in awe at her new sphere.
"Lookin' good Rylan," said Zoe.
"Yellow would've fit better," Evelyn stated.
Yavin slapped her on the shoulder.
