the door was heard by a soft buzzing noise as it creaked open. hyunjin slipping into the living room as he took off his shoes.
it was 12 am and he had just gotten back from work. he placed his suitcase filled with office equipment down and stretched.
the smell of fresh and sweet strawberries and peaches filled the house as he made his way to the fridge to grab a water bottle.
licking his lips, he unscrewed the cap and chugged down half of the water bottle before bringing it to the bedroom. slowly opening the door.
inside, he saw his husband and daughter in the same bed; cuddling close to each other. the company owner had to hold in his coos as he
took out his phone and snapped a couple of photos of the two together in bed. he made his way to the closet, taking off his suit to go shower.

getting out of the bathroom fully clothed, hyunjin dried his hair with a towel. a bit startled seeing minho awake, yet still sleepy.
he grinned softly at his sleepy husband as he walked towards him; the shorter leaning in as the taller held him in his arms.
❝ you're finally home . ❞ minho whispered, nuzzling his face in the other's chest as hyunjin hummed, running his fingers through his hair.
❝ i am , love . i'm home . you still sleepy ? ❞ a soft nod came from the older, making hyunjin chuckle quietly. ❝ let's get back to bed . ❞

birds chirping and the sun beaming down at the married couple with their hyper daughter running around was a sight for minho.
usually, the older was the one who'd wake up, dress the daughter, and cook breakfast for him and his husband. but not today; he was the last.
the smoke alarm went off as minho bolted right out of bed and into the kitchen as he saw hyunjin desperately trying to take out a small fire.
he glared at the younger and walked over to the flaming pan and threw it into the sink, turning the water on. ❝ what were you trying to do ? ❞
the taller hesitated to answer the raven haired male as he was being glared at pretty intensely. ❝ m- make pancakes ? ❞ he grinned awkwardly.
minho rolled his eyes as he turned off the sink water. ❝ as much as i'd like to thank you, i'm too tired and still sleepy . clean yourself up . ❞
he grumbled, hyunjin obeying and walking back into the room to change. he walked back out after 15 minutes with a black shirt and sweatpants.
he slowly made his way behind minho, who was busy making pancakes, and wrapped his arms around the shorter's small waist.
minho couldn't help but smile fondly and lean into the touch. ❝ they smell good . ❞ hyunjin muttered, leaving butterfly kisses on his neck.
the other only hummed in response, placing the last pancake on a plate as he turned off the stove. ❝ set the plates down, i'll go get hyunjae . ❞
hyunjin did as told as the family gathered around to the table and sat down and had a good breakfast. minho not bothering to wash
the dishes as he would do that later after dropping their daughter off to elementary. ❝ i'll get going . bye , babe , ❞ the taller paused,
pressing a soft kiss on the older's lips as he grinned; hyunjin squatting down to hyunjae's level and ruffling her hair gently.
❝ goodbye , princess . make sure to be a good girl at school today ; and remember what daddy and i taught you about bullies ? ❞
the girl nodded enthusiastically, a big toothy smile on her face. ❝ tell the teacher or principal ! ❞ she shouted with glee as the taller picked her up,
spinning her around before putting her back down. ❝ good job , princess ! have fun at school , okay ? ❞ she nodded;
kissing him on the cheek as he placed a messy kiss on her forehead - making sure to kiss minho once more and bid them both goodbye before leaving.
as the door shut, the raven haired male couldn't help but smile. how perfect his life is. being with the love of his life and having a kid.
he let out a happy sigh and looked down at hyunjae who was trying her best to tie her hair. he smiled and took the hair tie from her.
❝ let me help , baby . ❞ he took her to a chair as he sat down, pulling her onto his lap and perfectly putting her hair in a bun.
minho stood from the chair and held hyunjae in his arms. ❝ let's get you ready for school so i can drop you off . sounds good ? ❞
being distracted, the girl in his arms only let out a hum of approval and he smiled - kissing her forehead and walking to the bedroom.
