Russia's POV
The taxi stopped in front of a large glass building with the sign at the top saying "(L/N) Corp" in large silver letters.
I paid the driver and climbed out. I walk up to the glass double doors, opening them quickly. I walk in, walking up to the lady at the front desk.
"How may I help you?" She asked with a smile on her face
"Yes I'm here to see (Y/N) (L/N)." I said, tapping my fingers on the desk impatiently.
She nodded, typing on her computer. "I'm sorry but she is in a meeting right now. I can put your name in to meet with her later? She is free after two."
I was about to say something till a voice interjected, "That won't be necessary, he's with me."
I look over to see Benjamin along with a girl with light brown skin, black hair, and brown eyes wearing a black dress shirt and skirt. She had a worried expression on her face, the tablet gripped firmly in her hands.
The lady at the desk nodded and Benjamin gestured me to follow. I adjusted the hood on my head slightly, shoving my hands in my pockets as I followed Benjamin into the elevator.
"Are you sure?" I asked. Benjamin called me just a few minutes ago saying (Y/N) was experiencing sadness for the first time, overwhelming her. I couldn't believe it myself, she wasn't just gaining positive emotions ... but negative as well.
"Positive, she showed all the signs." Benjamin answered. I looked over at the girl, who was staring at her feet nervously.
    "Who is she?" I asked.
"I-I'm miss (L/N)'s assistant, Abigail. I-it's nice to m-meet Mr. Russia." She said nervously, holding out her hand.
I took it, shaking it, "Nice to meet you to Abigail." I then took my hand away, putting it back in my pocket.
"Does anyone else know?" Benjamin asked, looking up at me. I raised a brow in confusion. "Of her mentality." He added.
I shook my head, "No, she only told me after I..." I trailed off, glancing down at my arms. "Told her something about myself." I finished, looking back up at him.
"Where did you get the sunglasses?" Benjamin asked. "I don't think I've ever seen you wear them."
"Stole them from America." I answered with a smirk. "He won't be needing them anytime soon."
America's POV
I wonder around the house, looking under couches and other furniture. I can't find them anywhere!?
"America what are you doing?" I turn around to see France drinking some lemonade.
I stand up asking, "Have you seen my sunglasses anywhere?"
France seemed to think for a moment before answering, "Yeah, I think Russia had them. He left to go out or something like that."
I clenched my fist, "That bi-"
"Watch your language!"France growled, placing a hand over my mouth.
"I don't need to watch my language France, no one that shouldn't hear my language is around!" I growled, slapping his hand away from my mouth. "When Russia comes back I'm going to kill him."
"Geez dude don't be so sour." France said, taking a sip of his lemonade.
My eye twitched, "You know what change of plans, I'm going to kill you first."
France bolted into the kitchen, I was hot on his heels.
Russia's POV
The elevator opened, Benjamin led the way out. "You can wait in her office when she comes back from the meeting." Benjamin said, opening the door to a large office, gesturing for me to walk in.
"What do I do then?" I asked, looking back towards Benjamin.
He shrugged, "Whatever you think is best."
Then he left with Abigail hot on his heels. I let out a sigh, then looked around the room for something to do in the meantime.
Your POV
Today has to be the worst day in my life. And I used to not believe in good or bad days. The board members shut down the game idea immediately and begin to question my actions. Sure it didn't sound questioning but ... I could see right through them. They looked as if I was crazy.
The elevator doors open, I walk straight to my office without stopping. I opened the door, closing it behind me.
I begin to walk in the direction of my desk till I bump into something. I look up to see Russia wearing a blue hoodie with the hood pulled over his head and sunglasses... Wait are those America's?
"Russia? What are you doing here?" I asked, looking at him in surprise.
"Benjamin called and I came." He answered with a soft smile.
Abigail told him didn't he? Gosh darn it! This is embarrassing, how could this day get any worse.
"Hey, hey it's ok." Russia said all of a sudden. Wiping a tear that I had didn't know fell. All of a sudden he embraced me in a hug, "let it all out."
I couldn't hold it in anymore, I begin to sob, tears falling onto his sweat shirt. "Why couldn't they understand?" I spoke in between sobs.
"Who?" Russia asked, his tone soft and soothing.
"Everyone! My mom, my aunt, my family!? Why can't they see what I'm trying to do here is what Hunter would have wanted?" I spoke, letting out my frustration. "They constantly question what I do! Don't they trust me?" I sniffled, "Why did they leave me behind?"
Russia's grip tightened around me, "Because what you are doing is not meeting up to their liking. You have to push through, keep going, complete four brothers dream." He pulled me away a little to face me. "They'll understand with time and when they do they will welcome you with open arms."
I rubbed my tears away with my hands, "You think so?"
"I know so. I've seen it happen before." Russia said, hugging me once more. I then pull away from him, Russia grabbed a box of tissues off my desk handing them to me.
I took the box, using a tissue to blow my nose. I then take out my phone to see if there was any of my makeup running down my face.
I cleaned up the black streaks, then smiled up at Russia. "Thanks." I said, throwing the used tissues away.
"It was no problem. Just let it all out and you'll feel much better afterward. You... do feel better right?" Russia asked, nervousness etched on his face.
I giggled, "Yes I feel much better."
He let out a sigh, "Good. Now let's go get some lunch."
I looked at him confused, "Lunch?"
"Yeah, it's your lunch break isn't it?" Russia asked, making his way towards the door.
"Yeah it is." I answered, wondering how he knew.
"Well then, let's go to lunch." He said, opening the door, gesturing for me to walk through.
I walked through the doorway, giving him a nod in thanks. We walk side by side towards the elevator, I pressed the first floor. It took us down to the lobby, I walk out with Russia behind me.
I passed by the desk lady saying, "I'm going out."
"Geezus!" I heard Russia exclaim. I look behind me to see Echo slithering across his shoulders. I giggle, "You didn't no she was there?"
"No!" Russia retorted, watching Echo's every move. "C'mon, I only have a forty minute break." I said, taking Echo off his shoulders.
I led the way to my car, unlocking it with my keys. I got in the drivers side while Russia gets into the passenger side.
"So where do you want to go?" I asked.
"Anywhere that isn't a fast food restaurant." Russia said, buckling up his seatbelt. I did the same saying, "Fair enough. I know a good cafe."
I put the car in drive and drove out of the space and onto the street. "By the way, is that America's sunglasses?" I asked, stealing a glance at Russia.
"Yep." He answered with an accomplished look.
"He is so going to kill you when you get back to the house." I said with a giggle, making a right turn.
"Eh, he can try. Doubt he can though, he's too short." Russia stated with a smirk.
I giggle lightly, "What's that got to do with killing you?"
"I could easily pick him up by the shirt off the ground." Russia said with a shrug.
"Fair point." I said, parking in a small parking lot.
I got out of the car with Echo wrapped around my neck. Russia got out as well, once he shut the door I lock my car.
We walk into the lively cafe, people were in line waiting for their coffee or pastries, others sitting at tables talking to one another, and then people on laptops or tablets.
We stood in line, looking up at the menu. I think I might get a chocolate pastry and some green tea maybe. Or maybe an apple cinnamon tart would do with green tea.
Who knows, I might just change my items. "Look mom she has a snake!" I child behind us exclaimed.
"I see that honey." A woman, his mother I guess, said calmly.
I felt small hands tug on my sleeve, I look down to see a blonde haired boy with ice blue eyes. His mouth was a gaped, "Woah you have red eyes!"
"William! I'm sorry about my... son." Me and the woman locked eyes. She had golden brown hair, dark blue eyes, and tanned skin.
    "(Y/N)?" The women questioned.
    My eyes hardened, "Rose."
"Mommy you know her!? That's so cool you didn't tell me you had a friend with red eyes who also has a snake!" The boy exclaimed, jumping up and down in one spot.
"Look... about what happened all those years ago in high school... I'm truly sorry. I was a stupid kid who just wanted constant attention." She said, looking at me with guilt. "And what I did was wrong... I realize that now."
I felt an arm draped around me, pulling me close. I look up to see Russia, he smile at me, nodding for me to go on.
I look back over at the woman. I can still remember every detail that happened throughout the school days of my senior year. Rose was the most popular girl in school, she had all the power. But by senior year, I took that title somehow and someway. Apparently people saw me interesting senior year.
Out of jealousy Rose started to small things like "accidentally" pour juice on me during lunch, shove past me when we cross paths, and so on. Until one day ... she took it up a notch.
At that point in time, I was dating Ryder, the bad boy of senior year. I kept it a secret and our school was strict over girl and boy contact.
Rose caught us kissing and took a picture sending it to the entire school. No body was really bothered by it, I got suspended over it and so did Ryder. But nothing else.
Then she crossed the line, she targeted my brother who had just graduated. They dated and she manipulated him to such an extent where he begin to hate me.
Then he found out the truth about her and dumped her like she was nothing.
I let out a sigh, "I... forgive you Rose."
She smiled, "I know it's ... a stretch but I hope for us to become friends one day."
I released a small smile, "Sure." I need some more girls in my life to be honest.
"Can I touch your snake!?" The boy asked.
"William! Manners." Rose said firmly, giving him a tap on the shoulder with her hand as a warning.
"Oh no he's fine." I said with a wave. I bent down to his level, unwrapping Echo from my neck. "Just stroke her along the back, like this." I instructed, using my hand to stroke along her back.
I pulled away, allowing William to copy my movements. He did so, giggling in excitement. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I look up. "We're next." Russia said, gesturing to the cashier.
I put Echo back around my neck. "What do you say William?" Rose asked.
"Thank you for letting me pet your snake." He said.
"You are very welcome." I said warmly, giving him a small smile. I look up at Rose who gave me a smile, "See you around (Y/N)."
I smiled in return, "See you around." I walked up to the cashier, ordering a chocolate pastry and green tea.
I took a glance behind me to see Rose talking to William with a smile. At least some of us grew out of our bad habits.
