                                Monday.

I had Ashton in my office with me, discussing a patient when a small knock came from the door, Mila slowly entering, making me smile.

"Good evening Mila, Ashton this is Mila- Mila this is Ashton, one of my friends" I spoke, seeing them both exchange small smiles.

"I'll catch up with you later" Ashton nodded, leaving with a smile towards Mila.

"How are you feeling?" I asked her as she sat, a small smile on her face.

"I'm good, you?" She spoke quietly.

"I'm good" I nodded to her.

I tapped my pen on my desk as I looked to her, wording what I was going to say in my head before I just blurted it out.

"I know you went through something traumatic" I spoke to her.

"But I can't figure it out, I don't know if you were abused, if you were assaulted- I can't piece anything together" I spoke, standing and moving to her.

Her eyes stared to me.

"I know you want to tell me" I whispered, crouching in front of her

"I know it's killing you, I can tell that your heart is aching to talk to someone about it" I spoke.

"I won't think any differently of you, I won't judge you, I'm going to help you- and that's it." I whispered, tucking hair behind her ear slowly.

"Let it go Mila, talk to me."

I could see so much in her face.

"No one hurt me" she lied.

"What are you scared of?" I asked her quietly.

She blinked slowly.

"A lot" she whispered out.

"It's just me and you" I reminded her, taking her hands into my own.

I watched her thumbs slowly run over my knuckles.

"I just had a sucky life- plenty of people have experienced that" she mumbled out.

"No, there's more to your story" I spoke to her.

"Why do you care so much?" She asked me quietly.

"Because I want to help you" I spoke sternly to her

"I think that's the first time anyone has ever said that to me"
