"CODY JAMES BELLINGER. YOU - THAT'S RIGHT. YOUR ON YOUR WAY TO GREAT THINGS MY DUDE!" I yelled. I was very excited to hear this wonderful news and go in for another hug.

Cody laughs and hugs me back

"Thank you" He blushes and looks at the ground. "I was going to tell you right now, but I guess mom or dad beat to it. I wanted to surprise you" He sounded bumped

Cody and I have this thing where we tell each other everything. We're pretty close, we only have a three year difference, so we grew up together.

"Cody...we've been waiting for this since you picked up your first glove" I chuckle. We get into the car.

"Yeah I remember, those were the times" Cody looks at front view of the windshield

We put our seat belts on and start heading down

In the car ride, I didn't say a single word until

"Your staring" Cody he looks at me and still managing to drive carefully

"Your face is going to be on a Dodger schedule! How crazy is that?" I look over at my window and chuckle

"Your face is going to be on a Dodger schedule! How crazy is that?" I look over at my window and chuckle

We both laugh and take in the good things that were happening

"Yeah, it's pretty cool, huh?" Cody had a broad smile

"Up top" I raise my right hand to give Cody a high five

Cody raises his right hand and accepts my high five

"I'm so happy for you. So, what's it like to be part of the team. I'm sure it's pretty nice right? I ask as I bring down my right hand fist from the car door trim to my thigh

"The guys are amazing. They're energetic. Now that I had sometime with them it feels like family. They are their for me when I need them. Overall, the communication with the guys is spectacular" He explains with such an overwhelming sound

"I mean that's terrific. I can't wait to see you hit a home run" I answer. I might be sounding biased, but Cody is an amazing player. I'm not saying this just because he's my brother.

He's been hoping and praying he'd make the cut. When we younger he would bet to me all the time he was going to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers. I always believed him, he really set an affirmation every day.

"Can't wait to see you get your big break and I'll be there to cheer you on" Cody says as we arrive to campus parking lot

"Sooner or later" I finish his sentence as I gaze to the beautiful campus revolved around me

"Hey! I'm going to be heading to the stadium right now till the game starts. Could you tell mom and dad to pick you up and just head straight to the stadium, so I can give you guys a tour" He explains as his hands touched the outside car door.

"Oh yeah no problem and wow a vip tour, how did I get so lucky" I say as I unbuckle my seatbelt and get off from the car

Before I go any further Cody stops me at the words

"Hey! Good luck" He shouts

"Thanks " I reply as he reverses the car and wave at him

I had arrive. UCLA I was ready for you.

In my application I summited my major as communication and a minor in French

My dreams were to become an actor and performer, which meant I had to get my bachelors degree on theater arts and acting. Was I going to work hard for it? Yes I was.

If Cody was going to be a baseball player.. I'm going to be an actress and singer.

          — cody's pov —

I dropped off my little sister from college and started to wonder later about what was going to happen this later afternoon. Today was the day.

I entered Dodger Stadium to find Doc waiting for me outside. It was a sunny day, highest was about 75 fairaheint. They were clouds in the sky, it looked like a pretty good day.

I parked my car away from the other cars because I didn't want to huddle to everybody else's car. I get off from the car and head down to meet Doc. We meet and we do our little handshake.

"Hey, what's up. How are you feeling?" He cheerfully asked as he smiled at me

"So far, me and my family are still in shock" I say truthfully, I still couldn't believe I was going to be starting my career with the Los Angles Dodgers. I'm so grateful for this amazing opportunity. I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid

Me and Doc head out to the locker room. He introduces me to my uniform, as soon as I see my name on the back with favorite number, thirty-five. I lost it.

"Fucking crazy" I mumbled

"Yo, Dave this is so sick. I can't wait to try it on" I shouted as I run my finger through the number five

"I'm glad you like it.Your a young talented man who has worked very hard to get here and  deserves it" He gives me a warm smile

"Thank you...for this" I say feeling so thankful. I didn't want to let go of my uniform.

"Hey no problem. The guys are waiting for you outside" He informs me as he looks at the door

"Oh okay" I put my uniform, shoes, and helmet in my locker and head out to meet the guys.
