Chapter 2- Exploration

I waited a few hours before it seemed that everyone had fallen asleep. I open my door with a creak. I turn into my Animagus to silence my footsteps as I leave the common room. Silently I make my ways down the hall. I stuck to the dark, keeping myself better hidden. I felt as if I had struck gold. A group of students, four or five had stumbled upon the same hallway as me. "Where the hell are we going to find a crown?!" One of them whisper yells to another. "I dont know! We could try the treasury room... I heard that there was one somewhere here." The other offers. This was just perfect, once these idiots found the treasure room I could just scare them away and take for myself! And that's exactly what I do.

I followed them for an hour or so, just until they found the room. "Hey I think this is it!" One of them whisper yells excitedly. I took that as my cue, letting a low growl escape from the back of my throat, stepping out of the shadows. Maybe I should kill one of them while I'm at it, give everyone a good scare. They jump back, all three of them. Two of them scatter leaving just one. I'm quite impressed he was able to stay calm in this situation. He draws out his wand, stuttering. "Don't come any closer."

He didnt seem too much younger the me, maybe just by a year or so. I keep walking towards him, he was right in front of the door. I didnt plan on attacking him, only if he attacked me or tried to run away. He let's me pass by, so I was standing next to him facing the door. We stayed like that for a while, his wand pointed at me, and I waiting for a spell. I continue looking at the door, turning back into my normal self. "How about we get some treasure, hmm?"
I ask, almost purring my lines, glancing at him from the corner of my eye. He was slightly shorter than me now, so I was peering down at him. He lowered his wand. "You- you're an Animagus?" I scoff, pushing the door open after casting a simple unlocking spell. The boy following me inside, carefully closing the doors behind us once we enter.

The room was sparsely filled with treasure like things. Some necklaces, a cup, a crown and various decorative items. A flashy ring, from the corner of the room caught my eye, but I did not move to it. I wanted to test the younger boy, he could possibly help me tear down the school. "Find me something." Using his wand as a flashlight, he stands next to me. "What do you want?" With a flick of my wand, I light the entire room, every corner fully illuminated. "Guess." He nods carefully, keeping his wand illuminated to see better in some trunks and cases. I give him two minutes before ordering him to come back. Carefully, he steps in front of me. I keep my eyes cold, glaring at him. When he opens his hands, the small ring I had wanted from before was there. I let a smile creep onto my face, grabbing the ring from his palms. With the new found light I inspect his clothes to see he is in the Ravenclaw house. "I like you, what's your name?" I ask, placing the ring on my ring finger, admiring the shine. "Oliver Selwyn miss." I nod, seeing him start to have a more relaxed composure. "Grab something for yourself. If I need you I will find you. Is that clear?"

"Yes, but..." He starts to trail off. "But what?" I step closer, letting my voice rise just slightly louder. The students here were so easy to scare, it would be a shame not to take advantage of that. "I already am helping someone else." He takes in a deep breath, as if he was readying himself to get hit. "Who then?" I let my voice sound calm. Someone else was ordering him around, it was definitely something I needed to look out for. Whoever it was could be either a friend or foe, nothing in between. "I cant say." Sighing, I rub my temple, looking down at his feet. "Then work for both us. Just do not tell them, we'll keep this a secret. Are you good with secrets?" Happy to see I hadn't lashed out at him he nods, quickly leaving the room. I look around some more, there could possibly be something else that was hidden. Then I spot it. A pile of 4 books with a satchel next to it.

By approaching them I could tell they were old. The colors had faded, the gold text on the side starting to scratch. I could only make out the name of two; Chambers & Hidden Compartments of Hogwarts, and a more simple one named, Spells. I take all four, placing them in the satchel along with the ring, draping the bag over my shoulder. I turn onto my Animagus form, taking the light with me, I leave the room. Making it back to my Slytherin room quickly.
