A snake bite (Tom riddle x reader)

Chapter 11- Signal

Whack another dagger hits the board, a picture of the schools famous Tom Riddle stuck in the middle with his eyes drawn out. Whack. Again, a fifth dagger lands right between the eyes of Mr.Riddle. It's been a week since he decided to go out of his way and kill my one friend here. I sigh as I'm out of knifes. With the turn of my heel I plop onto my bed. I was waiting for the arrival of a letter... from clause. I had finally figured out a way to get my pack into school grounds. My team against his, I was going to be the end of Tom Riddle.

It was glum without Oliver here, I will say I do miss the guy. In fact, with the slow disappearance of students everyone seems to be down. Ever since Oliver died Tom has been all over me, and anyone I try to get close to just so happens to go missing. I pick slowly at my meal in front of me slowly. I've distanced myself from everyone, even Leo. "Why don't you eat?" I look up at the annoyance in-front of me.

"Oh gee I wonder." I only get a sigh from Tom.

"You can't just live like this forever y/n." I grit my teeth at the statement. Ever since Riddle has found out my name he's never stopped saying it. "Is it really that awful? You didn't know anyone for that long, and you still have me."

"You would be the last person I'd want right now." I stab my fork into my food making a loud bang in the process. Riddle slithers his hand over to mine on the table, holding it firmly,

"You need to calm down. Lashing out isn't going to get you anywhere." I manage to escape his grasp and stand up.

"I'm going back to the dorms." I turn my heel, and leave the main hall. I head straight to the dorms as I say, and into my room. There, on my bed lays a small note. Smiling, I eagerly unfold the note. There, it has one single date. 11/16.

I can't help but laugh in glee, that was tomorrow! I had to prepare, and keep everything seeming normal. Quickly I obliterate the note and throw some of my things in a bag. Just the things that were necessary for when I got back home. Without a doubt I would be expelled from the school after this, even thrown in Azkaban.

I woke up the next morning energized. I even happily greeted Tom when I saw him in the main room for the dormitory. "Good morning."

He smiles at me. "I'm glad you've decided to give in." He whispers into my ear, sliding a hand around my waist and pulling me close to him. I'm disgusted, but I don't remove his hand from me, nor do I push him away,

"Don't push it." I whisper back to him, my hand against his chest, gripping at it slightly. He only chuckles at this and squeezes me tighter.

"You don't have a choice darling." With that, he lets me go and strides over to the doors, leaving the common room.

"Already back together?" I jump at the sudden hot air in my ear.

"Leo!" He laughs at me hysterically. I punch his arm lightly. "What the hell?"

He continues to laugh, gasping for breath in between. Wiping the tears from his face, he finally decided to answer me. "I should do that more often."

I cross my arms. "You really shouldn't."

"Don't be such a party pooper." He reaches out to put a hand upon my shoulder but I shake him off.

"I've got class." With that, I leave the main room and had towards my first class. I didn't have time for people to get in my way today, no distractions. Heading down the hall, I turn to go upstairs and to my next class, trying to avoid Tom at all costs. To tell the truth, I only wanted to make it look like I was heading to my next class, because I was skipping the whole day. Just before I reach my class doors I slip through a crowd and weave my way through the corridors, heading for an exit. I knew Riddle had some people watching me, just in case, so I had to make it look like I was attending class at all costs, otherwise I would be caught.

Making my way outside, I locate the spot I would be meeting up with the others. It was quite a ways away, a spot in the middle of the dark forest. It was somewhere students were forbidden to go, but it was the perfect spot for me. Quickly shifting, I make my way over quickly to an opening in the trees. A single stump sat in the centre. I had a meeting with Tom and his gang at midnight, there I would have to make a commotion big enough that everyone would follow me outside, and to this exact spot. I place a dagger in the stump from my satchel, this was the signal that everything was going to be ready. At 2 am, everyone would arrive and get into place, ready to jump and attack the opposing side.

Hey... how y'all doing? I know it's been a while, but a lot of things have come up, as well as some writers block. I plan for only two more chapters after this, both being relatively big. I can't guarantee these will be released soon, but I'm determined to finish this book.
