A few days have past since I made up with Oliver, and things are going pretty well. I've decided to let myself loosen up a little and enjoy myself while I'm here, maybe I could actually make a friend. Every lunch and afternoon I would spend with him, recently we've become somewhat inseparable. It's been nice, being with him, nothing at all like being with Riddle. Something I'll never understand in this school is how easily you can get away with things, and even more confusing is how no ones spirits ever seem crushed. In fact, everyone is so upbeat they haven't even realized that the two boys who attacked me could be dead, they've just labeled them as missing and forgot about it. What's even better? Or should I say worse? Is that their holding a winter dance. It's only just turned November, I don't see why we need a dance so soon. I don't care whether it's for fun or not- I hate things like this. These dances are just an excuse to ask out the person you like or get lucky. I refuse to ever be a part of those, not around these people. I stop in my tracks and stare down the poster for the 'snowfall dance' in-front of me. From what I hear around the school is that they still haven't settled on a name, that why there's currently three. I rip the poster off the wall and shred it before throwing it in a nearby garbage."A little harsh." Merlin I hated that voice.
I turn around, "What do you want Riddle?" He tsk's me.
"Back to a last name basis already? It's only been just over a week."
I roll my eyes at him. "Fuck off." With that I turn my heel and leave him, but he stops me by grabbing my arm. His grip is firm and tight, so tight it hurts.
"Let go." He raises a brow at me.
"You'd just leave, why would I ever let you do that?" I look him straight in the eye.
"Drop dead." He seems taken aback by my sudden change in attitude towards him. I'm trying to make a point to him to leave me alone. I don't want to be any part of him anymore, I don't even want to be associated. I wiggle under his grasp trying to get free. "I said let go." He shakes his head.
"Why must you make things so complicated?"
"I think it's you whose making things complicated, she doesn't want your attention." Both of our attention is brought to the voice from behind Riddle. What on earth is he thinking?!
"Oliver, you have some guts." Tom let's go of my arm, I rub it gently as he does so.
"I'm just pointing out the obvious ." Seeing them next to one another is strange to me, I've only seen it once before and even that I can barely remember. Tom was only a few inches taller then Oliver now, but he seemed to tower over him anyways. I'm not sure what to do in this kind of situation, Oliver could get really hurt if he even tries to stand up to Riddle.
"Boys" luckily for me a teacher had just been walking the halls and noticed the commotion. Riddle puts the fakest smile I've ever seen on and nods to the teacher before walking away. Oliver does the same but only with an awkward 'smile'. Once the teacher walks away Oliver approaches me.
"Do you have a deathwish?!" I smack him lightly on the chest.
"Well I wasn't gonna let him keep you hostage like that." He gestures at my arm. "Roll up your sleeve." Reluctantly I listen and roll up my sleeve to reveal a pink handprint on my upper arm. "That might just bruise you know."
I sigh and roll my sleeve back down. "Yeah, no shit."
"What he even bother you for?" Oliver questions.
"I don't think he even got to say what he wanted." I reply, chuckling a little.
"What do you think about the dance?" Oliver questions me looking away, admiring the grand halls.
