Chapter 5- Tom?

"Hey- Hey!" Oliver runs up to me, I tried my best to avoid him him all day. Ever since I helped him out that day, I've heard screaming every night. Sure, it's only been about three nights since then, but it's still ridiculous. He grabs my arm and spins me around to him. "What do you want?" I spit at him, but his grip on my arm doesnt falter. "I wanted to thank you." I roll my eyes. "I'm not just going to let someone die for no reason."

I yank my arm out of his grasp and head to my potions class. Today after classes, Riddle would be helping me study for my upcoming final test in Dumbledore's classes. According to professor Dumbledore, I was an extremely fast learner. So, I had my final test about a week before it was planned to end.

"Pads wait!" I flip Oliver off and storm into my class, throwing my books onto the table next to Tom. He's barely startled at my outburst. "Bad morning?"

I raise a brow at him and scoff. "Do you enjoy asking questions you obviously don't care to hear the answers of, Riddle?" Unlike the usual he smirks. I was too tired and bothered by Oliver to even care why Tom was acting so weird. Sighing, I take my seat next to him, making sure no leftover ingredients to a potion were on my chair. He keeps staring at me. "Something wrong, Riddle?"

"Call me Tom." I turn my head to face him properly, he was still smirking. He looks serious and so do, I until I burst into a laughter of mockery. "And you were the one who said I dont get to be here, yet I can call you by you're first name?"

I stand up from my seat. "I dont know what you want Riddle, but whatever it is your not getting it from me." Picking up my books, I walk over to Professor Slughorn and ask him to switch seats for the day. Being the good teacher he is, and using my amazing excuse, he lets me move seats for tomorrow aswell.

When I walk past Riddle I smile sickeningly at him and continue down the isle, taking my seat at an empty desk at the back. I could only guess Riddle wanted to add me to his sick cult, something I would definitely never do. I work alone, I was stupid to think I could have worked with another person in the first place.

We weren't making any potions for the rest of the week, so all we really had to do was sit and listen. I find myself drifting off into thought, the Professor's speech starting to fade out into the background. I had come here for a reason, I promised myself I would break down this school. I also promised to write to Clause! I snap back to reality and hastily grab a paper out from my book, dipping my quill in ink.

I write a short letter, telling Clause how everyone here is an idiot. I write about stealing a ring and a few books, I've already killed two people aswell. I fold the paper into quarters when I'm done, not caring too much about the not-completely-dry-yet ink. I place it into one of my pockets and look back at the Professor, who is still continuing his speech. For the first time in any of my classes, I listened.

If I was going to take down the school, I needed a plan. I chew my food rapidly at dinner, eating lots. I couldn't just take down a school by killing a few students, that wouldnt get me far. I needed to find someone or something that everyone loved, something cherished in the school. Maybe it would be best to act nice and figure things out? I couldn't just be a complete prick, I would be a prime suspect.

A large weight on the bench next to me breaks my train of thought. I look to my right side to see Leo. "Having fun brooding over here?" He smirks, piling food onto his plate. This was my chance. "Yeah, you caught me." I place some food on my plate aswell, I had already eaten alot so I wasn't really hungry. "Is it Riddle?" He asks me, twisting some pasta with his fork. I shake my head. "No, I met someone and I thought I could trust them... at least close, but I guess I was wrong."
