diary entry 4 - Hyunjin

Before today I couldn't form an organized thought about how I felt about Seungmin. It felt like a silly crush, like I just immediately liked the first person who was nice to me in this town, but I think I know now.

I really do like him. And it's not superficial.

I like the way he listens so intently, how he'll let me speak for as long as I want and he seems genuinely interested in what I have to say.

I like that he says and does things with a certain level of thought and planning that other people don't have or pay attention to. He thinks about how words and phrases and hand motions and facial expressions impact people around him and acts accordingly.

I like that he's brilliant, he thinks and acts quickly and he's witty with it. He doesn't take bullshit from me or from anyone.

I like that he's quiet, but not shy. Instead he's just observant, he takes in everything around him and processes it at a level most people don't realize or understand.

I like that smells like honeysuckle, but it's not obnoxiously sweet. It's just a little bit musty, not a purely sweet perfume. Like him.

I like that he laughs like it's surprising him. I like that when he smiles he makes you feel like you're the only person in the room. I like that he wears hoodies, even in the hottest weather.

I think I really like him. He's thoughtful and smart, and frighteningly gorgeous.

He has beautiful knees.

I didn't think I'd ever say that about a person.
