first person pov 9 - Seungmin

I've been doing homework all day when I hear Hyunjin knocking on my window. He knocks the same way he always does, four short knocks and then two more.

I don't know if it's conscious to him anymore.

I know I'm smiling as I walk towards the window. I can't help it anymore.

"Hey," I say as I open the window and he pulls himself over the sill, kissing me softly.

"Hey," he says back, his mouth still close to my lips as he says it.

I push my nose against his and back up so he can climb through the window.

"What's up?" I ask, not surprised to see him but curious nonetheless.

"I missed you," he says simply, and I close my eyes, the feeling of his words flooding through me. I would never have expected that anything he said could make me feel so wonderful.

"You must be tired," he says, and I look up at him, confused. He's smiling down at me but it doesn't feel patronizing. I feel comfortable in his gaze, like I belong there.

"Hmmm?" I mumble, closing my eyes again and falling backwards onto my bed.

He doesn't respond for a moment and I open my eyes, cocking my head to the side.

"You must be tired," he repeats, "because you've been running through my head all day."

I close my eyes, groaning at the line.

I can actually feel him smiling.

"How long have you been planning that?" I ask, opening my eyes again he smiles, caught.

"Too long, honestly. One of my friends and I tried to find the worst pickup lines in the world a couple of years back and I didn't think they'd ever come in handy," he jokes, and I laugh, standing up.

"Well, I'm glad you finally used it. I was beginning to think you'd never flirt with me," I say, and he gapes at me, not quite realizing that I'm messing with him.

I let myself smirk, which finally tips him off, and I hear him mumble "fucker" under his breath before leaning in to kiss me again. He grabs my hand in his and softly rubs his fingers against my palm and knuckles, sending an unexpected tingling up my arms.

He's addicting.

I pull away and he follows me, trying to kiss me again, but I push his chest away lightly. The way he pouts afterwards almost makes me cave but I know something's up.

"What's going on today?" I ask, and he shrugs, pulling me towards him and leaning against my shoulder.

"I don't know," he sighs, pushing his forehead into my neck, "I just missed you."

And there's that warm, happy feeling again. It's like the entire inside of my body turned to liquid.

I turn my head to look at him, resting my chin against his head on my shoulder.

"I missed you too."

We stand there for a long time, but it's comfortable. It's unusual for him to be quiet but somehow it's not concerning.

"I'm done with homework," I say, but saying anything out loud sounds garish and loud, "so we can go somewhere if you want," I finish, nearly whispering.

He sighs quietly, and it's a wonderful sound. When he stretches his hair falls in front of his face, and it looks like he just woke up. He's still not wearing any makeup, barefaced and vulnerable. It's impossibly adorable.

"Okay," he says, quietly, and my heart swells in my chest.

"We could go to the diner again?" I suggest, knowing he'll be very agreeable, and he nods slowly, looking towards the window.

"I need to change."

"No you don't, you look great," I say, and he laughs.

"I'm still wearing my pajamas."

"Okay, but don't take too long. I'll meet you outside?"

"Sure," he says, and then looks down at his wrist before realizing he's not wearing a watch.

He looks up quickly, flustered, and rolls his eyes when he sees me laughing at him.

"Whatever. Twenty minutes, I promise!" he assures quickly and hops out of my window and down the tree.

He meets me between our houses exactly twenty minutes later, wearing the most gorgeous blue shirt with ripped jeans. He looks so soft, wearing light colors and smooth fabrics. I can't believe he's mine, he looks like an angel.

"You ready?" I ask, and he nods eagerly, linking his hand in mine quickly as we walk towards main street.

We walk for only about a block before he stops me, pushing me firmly against a stop sign and kissing. It's uncomfortable but wonderful, sweet and unexpected. I don't know what's with him today but I certainly don't mind.

He pulls away, staring at me too see if I'm uncomfortable, and I smile so widely I swear my face is going to split in half.

"What's with you today?" I ask, trying to make it sound as sweet as I find it, and he wraps his arm around mine, smiling.

"I just realized how much you mean to mean today. You're probably the best thing that's ever happened to me."

I don't know how to react in a way that communicates how happy that makes me, so I smile wider and lean down to kiss his nose.

He leans up, catching my lips instead and giggles into the kiss.

"I kind of really like you."

I'm smiling so hard I'm laughing now, and I burrow into his shirt as we walk, inhaling his scent.

"I kind of really like you too."
