White Past: Hidden Ambition

Something is happening to me. I feel powerful than ever.

Everything changes. Everything is a blur and my body moves on its own. My nails became sharper and longer and my teeth became more like fangs ready to sink into its prey.

Little did I know, Nariko's mark begin flashing.

I pounced at Haku hiding in his mirror. He vanished. I came to a stop, it's was like looking at a rearview mirror our minds and bodies were as one.

Haku appeared in the wall of mirrors behind us. I turn around sharply he pierces my back with his needles, in turn, repel them out roaring, my chakra was very different. I ran up growling and super punched one of the ice mirrors.

I sensed Haku sky dropping from one of the flying shattered pieces, holding his needle. I moved quickly as ever and successfully dodged his air attack.

I slid back and look up with my red slit eyes.

Just as Haku returned to his mirror, I grabbed Haku's wrist, pulling him aside violently, and a burst of chakra exploded. Mirrors broke from the chakra rage we're unleashing.

With my unnatural strength, I punch Haku on the mask with enough force sending Haku flying, shattering all the ice mirrors and get out of the dome. I looked up as the mirrors crashed down all around us.

In a burst of energy, I bolted toward Haku. The mask broke off.

Nariko and I saw in the boy we met in the forest collecting herbs. I came to a complete stop I had my fist in front of Haku inches away from his face. I took a breather and relax, everything went back to normal.

"So that guy in the woods, that was you?" I asked

"Why do you not strike? Did you not just vow to avenge your comrade's death by killing me? Or that vow just empty words?" Haku said

I took a moment. Eventually, I punched him.

"And now, that won't do. You're still holding back. If that is all the strength you can put into it, you will never keep your vow. Perhaps he didn't mean as much to you as you pretend." Haku said

I stare at him thinking back to his question about who's important to us but he also has somebody to protect to make someone that valuable to fight.

"There is only one person who matters to me, to live and serve him. That is my purpose, to show mercy to those who oppose the one you serve, to allow his enemies to live when you could strike them down. This is not compassion. It is a betrayal of your life's very purpose. For what reason do you exist then? You're of use to no one. Your life has no meaning. It is mere existence. Day after day of pain and struggle, signifying nothing." Haku said

"Yeah, well, speak for yourself," I said

"Are you really that blind, little one? I am speaking for myself. This day has shown that I am no longer of any use to Zabuza."

"Zabuza. Why that guy anyway? To devote your life to a rotten skunk who doesn't know the meaning of the word honor. If he's really the one person that matters to you, man, that's the sorriest thing I've ever heard." I said

"There were once others who mattered to me long ago. My father and my mother." Haku said turning it into a story

Haku talked about how he gets this far in existence.

"Because of something that happened long before I was even born, everything changed," Haku said

"What was it? What happened?" Naruto followed up
