We decided to train a bit before the mission. I surprisingly paid no attention to Neji. He wants to ignore me, I'll ignore him. So I was basically talking to Lee the entire time. Neji seemed a little... peeved.

"That was amazing training Tenten!"

"It was, Lee."

"Why don't we run 100 laps around the training grounds?!"

"U-Um..."

I started sweating nervously, not only because of Lee's request, but also because Neji was staring deep into my soul. It was so intimidating. I didn't acknowledge him though.

"N-No thanks Lee. I don't want to be worn out before the mission."

Lee nodded and went to run his laps by himself. I don't see how he has that much energy. I don't even know why I'm still questioning it.

I picked up my kunais from the ground and put them in my bag, along with my scroll. Neji glared At me as I was doing it, which was creepy as hell. I decided to ignore him. Strangely enough, it didn't work. Next thing I know, he was walking towards me. Maybe he was walking past me? I hope he was.

"You And Lee seem to be getting along well."

Annndd he didn't. Neji sounded jealous, which sent a shiver down my spine. Neji? Jealous? ESPECIALLY of Lee? It was more disturbing than flattering for sure! Maybe I should play with him a bit though.

"You're talking to me? Wow, you must actually be jealous."

I seen Neji's eye twitch. He seemed really annoyed. Good, because that was my goal. Heh.

"Jealous? Of Rock Lee? Tch."

I gave a sarcastic smile and went back to grabbing my things. I needed to go home and grab a few things before the mission. I picked up my things, purposely brushed past Neji, and went home.

~2 Hours Later~

Lee, Neji, and I were waiting at the gates for Guy Sensei and the... prince? Yeah. The prince we're escorting. I was standing there twirling a kunai ever so casually on my index finger. Lee was doing some push ups, while Neji leaned against the wall with his arms folded and eyes closed. Neji was starting to acknowledge my presence now. When I first got to the gates, he looked at me and nodded, that was it though. I didn't try speaking to him either.

About 15 minutes later, we seen Guy Sensei walking up with Lady Tsunade, Shizune, Shikamaru (Hokage's Aid, remember?) and a dude that was maybe a year or two older than us. He had blonde hair and green eyes. He was about the same height as Neji with a slight tan (dude was still pale as hell). He had a village headband tied around his left leg, and to my surprise, he was shockingly handsome, almost as handsome as Neji.

Almost.

They all walked up to us. We all stood side by side and bowed. The prince gave a slight chuckle.

"We're practically the same age, you don't have to treat me as if I was an old king."

He was humble too. Hmm. I think i'll like this mission.

"Team Guy, this is prince Hikaro, this is who you'll be escorting back to his village."

Tsunade began to introduce him to us. I couldn't help but notice he was staring at me smirking. It made me a little uneasy, made me feel a little exposed for some reason. I was too busy looking at him that I didn't notice that Tsunade was still talking.

"I wish you a successful mission!"

Damn. I gotta stop zoning out like that.

We began walking. We were all talking and basically introducing ourselves.

"So, who exactly are my escorts?"

"I'm Rock Lee! The leaf's handsome devil!"

"Neji. Neji Hyuga."

The prince nodded at both boys. He then turned his attention to me. He gave an enticing smirk and asked in the most mellow tone

"And what might your name be?"

"Te-"

"Her name is Tenten."

Neji answered in the most irritated tone ever. What was wrong with him? The prince only asked me my name. Wait... is Neji jealous? Of a prince? That's really hilarious for some reason.

"Tenten, hm?"

"Yeah I know, it's a pretty average name."

"An average name for a non-average girl."

I chuckled a bit. A prince was flirting with me. Last thing I would expect. We started talking casually after that.

I looked over at Lee for a second and seen how excited he was to be on a mission, we haven't had a mission like this in a while. But then I look over at Neji. This ninja was furious. He was seconds from combustion. He had a dark shadow over his eyes and he damn near had a flame covering him. I know he's not mad about what the prince said... right?

Neji

I honestly wish this prince was an enemy so I could air palm the hell out of him. Flirting with Tenten? Who the hell does he think he is?! Look at them... smiling and laughing with each other... it makes me sick. I'm ready to explode. It takes 3 days to get to his village, and I don't think I can deal with 3 days of this.

Night started to fall. We were going to have to stop soon. We walked past this small shop that had different varieties of foods and desserts. It was placed here for travelers, such as ourselves. Guy Sensei recommended that we stop. It was probably a good idea, none of us ate all day, and we need our energy. The shop was like a small restaurant, had seating on the inside and outside. It was a little smaller than the dango shop. Guy and Lee obviously turned it into training and walked to and into the shop on their hands, while Tenten, The assho- uh... prince, and I lingered behind.

We arrived at the shop. I asked for a table outside because I refused to be caught up in Guy and Lee's shenanigans. Tenten decided to accompany me for the same reason. The assho- prince tagged along too. We ordered our meals and sat at the table. Just normal conversation.

"I'm impressed by your knowledge of weapons. I like a girl that can protect herself!"

"Heh, thanks. I'm just obsessed with weapons."

"I'm obsessed with your enthusiasm."

... I'm about to take 20 food pills and end it all.
