New Orleans was beautiful and loud as always. Rapunzel breathed in the fresh air as jazz music filled the streets. She rubbed her stomach that was beginning to grow. She was two months pregnant now, so it wasnt much of a bump but it didnt go unnoticed by the demigoddess. Rapunzel headed upstairs of her appartment, taking out her key and unlocking the door. Shes welcomed by the smell of apples and vanilla, her go to scent. Rapunzel slid off her shoes as she entered, placing them on the shoe rack next to the door. She made her way into the kitchen, suddenly becoming hungry. It was a long trip from Mystic Falls. She realized she had nothing in her fridge or freezer so she moved to the cupboards where she found a bag of chips. She grabbed it, figuring she'd go get something from the bar down the road where Camille worked, after she took a break. She moved to the couch, stopping when she saw her journal on the table. She moved towards it, it opening as if on command. She ran her fingers along the page. She picked it up, bringing it over to the couch. She ate chips as she read her journal, smiling at the little things. As she neared the end, a date was placed on the top of the page caught her eye. It was a year after she was cursed to slumber. Her eyebrows furrowed as she recognized the handwriting. Niklaus. And it read this...

Your journal opened to me today. A year after your slumber. I didnt want to read it, afraid of invading your privacy. So I did no such thing. I wanted to write to you, to future you. I wanted to tell you that I found your family. Your mother anyways. She is so sweet. When I talked about you her eyes lit up and she asked if what I was saying was true. I offered her immortality but she denied. She couldnt bare the thought of herself walking the earth without you. So I left there with only one thing. Her name.

Elinora Salvatore.

Until next time, Niklaus.

Rapunzels eyes enlarged as she read it over and over. Salvatore.

Rapunzel closed her journal, putting it in her purse, as she moved to put on her shoes. She hurried out the door, locking it behind her as she rushed to find Niklaus. She walked into the bar, walking over to Camille.

"Hey Cami." She smiled, sitting down at the bar. "Oh my god, Zel!" She reached over the bar, grabbing her into a hug.

"You have the whole city looking for you." She whispered. "Sorry. I took a little vacation." She said, not telling the whole truth.

"Hows Marcel?" Rapunzel whispered, wanting to know about her dear friend.

"This man named Klaus keeps tormenting him, and it only got worse when he discovered how close you two are." She replied.

"Darn Niklaus. He tells me he never loved me one minute, the next he's bluming jealous. What even is that?!" Rapunzel ranted, clearly upset over how they left things.

"Klaus has been looking for you since you went missing Zel. If he told you he didnt love you then that's a lie." They remained silent for a short moment, before Rapunzel broke it, speaking softly.

"He hurt me Cami. That was a pain worse than any I've ever felt... to be told that the person you love most in this universe doesnt love you back..." she paused momentarily, closing her eyes as a tear fell down her cheek.

"Its a pain I wish upon no one, not even my greatest enemies." She said, though she had none. Cami brought her a bowl of gumbo, coming around and rubbing her back.

"I just wish the pain would end." She said, barely above a whisper. "I think you need to talk to him." Cami spoke for the first time in a while. Rapunzel sighed because she knew it was time.

"I will... after I talk to Marcel." She claimed, simply drawing out seeing Niklaus.

Rapunzel finished her gumbo, paying and thanking her dear friend. She walked out of the bar heading down the street to the abandoned church. She snuck back into the staircase, careful not to make a noise. Rapunzel entered the room only to see Davina leaning over a dead looking Elijah. Rapunzel gasped, causing Davina to get scared, only to see that it was only Rapunzel.

"Zel!" She rushed over to her, only for her to back up. This confused Davina until Rapunzel spoke.

"You- you killed Eli." She whimpered as she rushed over to him. Rapunzel had never seen this before so she didnt know he was only dead while the dagger was in his chest. She placed her hands on his face and she began to cry.

"I didnt do this." Davina defended. "Then who did? Whoever did must pay!" She roared. For the first time since Davina met Rapunzel, she was angery.

"I-It was Klaus Mikaelson." She stuttered, slightly scared of her friend. "It was good seeing you little Davi." She said as she stormed out of the room, no longer looking for Marcel, but for Niklaus. She was on a mission, and she didnt know what she'd do or say.
