Request: Thranduil and Legolas are Sindar elves and I'm pretty sure they're the only Sindar in Mirkwood. Can we have Y/N as Elrond's Apprentice alongside Lindir? I like the idea of Y/N going with Elrond and the party of elves from Rivendell when Aragorn gets crowned King of Gondor where she meets Legolas. Maybe they're travelling with Elrond and the elves to the Grey Havens when a remnant band of three Orcs attack and Y/N reacts fast enough to save Elrond from a stray sword? And then they could stop off in Mirkwood to see if Thranduil wants to lead his people to the Havens, but he'd probably say no and then notice that Y/N looks strikingly similar in build and traits to himself and Legolas so he decides to order Legolas to accompany Elrond's party to the Grey Havens in an attempt to get them to fall for each other @theambernightingale

They had only been back in Rivendell for a few days and (Y/N) was already heartbroken. She missed her new friend dearly. Everything that Lord Elrond or Lindir shared somehow reminded her of Legolas. She could not get her mind off of him.

"So, I tried the bow, but I just couldn't get my arrow to hit anywhere near the center of the target. From that point on, I knew I wasn't meant to be a soldier." Lindir said.

(Y/N) sighed without realizing it and stared off into the distance with dreamy eyes, "Legolas likes archery."

Lindir rolled his eyes, "Get your head out of the clouds. You'll more than likely see him again, and soon. Besides, we have duties to attend to before Lord Elrond gets on our tail about it."

(Y/N) huffed and looked at him. She gave a small pout but earned no response from Lindir. She followed behind him as they headed off to be productive.

Several months passed and still no meeting with Legolas. However, the months did not go completely uneventful. (Y/N) received a few letters from him and replied to each one. Legolas did not get much time to write because he was always so busy with his duties as prince.

Lord Elrond called a small meeting that included (Y/N), Lindir, and a few close advisors. It was a big announcement and one that held great importance based on the attendees. As (Y/N) sat around the table waiting for Lord Elrond to speak, she could feel herself getting antsy. She had a suspicion it may be to do with a trip to another elven realm... Mirkwood perhaps. As Elrond opened his mouth to speak, she could feel it deep within her bones that they were going to pay a visit to Mirkwood. Her exciting thoughts swirled in her head blocking out everything going on around her, but these dreams were interrupted by a name.

"-Grey Havens. Since the war of the ring is over, there really is no place for the elves in Middle Earth anymore and it is best that we take the people of Rivendell that wish to leave with us to Valinor."

Her heart sunk.

She was leaving him.

This could not be happening.

(Y/N) was very silent for the rest of the meetings as the other elves present discussed the logistics of the journey. As soon as the meeting was adjourned, (Y/N) rushed to her chambers and hastily wrote Legolas a note informing him of her departure. She was determined to show him how desperate she was to see him before they be parted forever.

The weeks passed and (Y/N) did not receive a response. She wondered whether Legolas felt the same, never got the letter, or simply had not found time to reply yet.

But the time for wondering was short. The elves of Rivendell departed from their home soon after that meeting. It was to be a long journey, but they were determined to make it, knowing what lay at their destination; a new life in a place just right for them.

(Y/N) hung her head as she rode on her horse barely speaking a word to anyone. Those that knew her grew concerned, including Lord Elrond and Lindir, wondering what was nagging at her heart. Of course, they had their suspicions, but wanted to give her space.
