title: rain
Tamaki x reader
- - -
The rain trickled down your face as you broke into a run, your feet splashing little puddles along the way.
You felt your breath get ripped out of your chest as you fell over, ruining your school uniform. You quickly staggered back up, running into the school.
You ran through the hall, still panting and recovering from your fall. You stopped in front of your homeroom, leaning over.
You slowly opened the door, trying to catch your breath. "I'm sorry I'm late-" You were cut off as you began to cough, everyone looking at you.
"You're drenched, go get a spare uniform and dry off. We'll take about this later." Your homeroom teacher ordered, as a puddle formed beneath you.
"Right. Sorry." You apologised once again before slowly walking to the office, hearing a few of your classmates break into laughter.
You gritted your teeth in annoyance, a low growl sounding from your chest as you stalked over to the office.
After you had dried off and changed into a spare uniform, you walked back into homeroom with a jumper slung around your shoulder.
"Y/n, here. Now."
You walked over to your teacher, hearing your classmate's chatter cease. "What was your reason for being late this morning? Perhaps you'd like to tell your classmates why?"
You rocked on your feet nervously, looking at the ground as you chewed your lip. "I'd rather not actually, it's quite a personal reason..."
"See me after class, y/n."
You sighed in disappointment, sluggishly moving back to your desk. You heard a few classmates snicker, making your heart sink.
Damn rain...

It was like the same scene all over again, but this time you were in U.A. You couldn't be late! You were sprinting through the rain, using your jumper to cover you.
You avoided tripping this time, remaining only slightly damp. You ran through the school, not bothering to focus on anything else.
You quickly slammed open the door, rushing into your seat while muttering apologies. "Y/f/n. Late again?"
You sighed in your seat, your lungs heaving for air. "I'm sorry sensei, I had a personal issue at home." You explained, swallowing harshly.
You avoided everyone's gaze, knowing they were judging you. You heard your teacher sigh heavily before returning back to the lesson.
This damn rain!
Your attention wandered over to the window next to you, raindrops slowly sliding down the windowpane.
You looked around, finding another person looking at it; Tamaki Amajiki. To say you admired him was an understatement.
You adored him.
You wanted to be like him, strong and witty. However, you were just a loser who embarrassed yourself too often.
You had a couple of friends, including Nejire but you never considered hanging out with Mirio and Tamaki.
I mean they were the big 3, how embarrassing if they hung out with a loser? You felt a wave of sadness wash over you, the rain always did this to you.
You used to adore the rain, but ever since that day in middle school... you grew to hate it. You knew it was silly to hate such a thing, but you couldn't help it.
Finally, the bell rang, and you grabbed your stuff waiting for everyone else to rush out of the door as your homeroom teacher yelled a few things about homework.
Strangely enough, Tamaki was still sitting at his desk, staring out of the window. You watched as your homeroom teacher left, not bothering to look at you.
"Hey uh, Tamaki?" You tapped on the boy's shoulder, making him jump. "U-Uh s-sorry!" He quickly apologised, shooting up in his seat and beginning to pack up his stuff.
You let out a small giggle, your heart fluttering in your chest as you watched him. "Don't be so nervous, it's ok."
Your voice had an effect on him, making his heart flutter and his face go beet red all the time. He always became a stuttering mess around you, no matter how hard he tried.
Your voice was just so heavenly and angelic he couldn't help it. "S-sorry." He apologised again, putting his bag on.
"It's ok." You smiled at him, his eyes flickered to your face for a second. There it was. That smile. He swore he almost fainted, his face going a darker red and his breath get knocked out of his lungs.
Your bright (e/c) eyes had a certain glimmer towards him, he just couldn't help it. Before he could stop himself, his eyes were shut as he wobbled on his feet.
"Hey woah woah woah!" You grabbed his shoulders, stopping him from falling. You could feel how shakey he was, concern washing over you.
"Do I need to get Nejire or Mirio?" You asked, his body beginning to shake more. "N-No! S-sorry!" He squeaked out, his eyes opening.
You spoke to him softly, doing your best to calm him down the same way you did whenever you embarrassed yourself.
He began to relax, his breathing slowly as his face began to return to its normal colour slightly. "T-Thank y-you," His stuttering didn't cease.
"No problem," You grinned at him, his head spinning as you gave him a grin. "Now you should go over to Nejire and Mirio, I bet they're worried about you."
"W-Would y-you l-like to uh, s-sit with m-me?" He squeaked out, shutting his eyes again. You frowned slightly, thinking for a bit.
"Sure let's go."

You all had a great time, happiness blooming through your chest. It was no doubt you had fallen for Tamaki, and he had fallen for you. Hard.
You found yourself sitting next to him more, always being there for him and him being there for you. People were unsure and confused about what happened between youse.
But one thing was for sure, you both weren't leaving each other anytime soon.
