Tamaki quickly walked down the path, his head lowered and eyes locked on the floor. He never made eye contact with everyone as he pushed past people in the hall, refusing to even look at them. He had gotten quite good at, considering he hardly ever did look at someone.
He was having a bad day already, but seeing you with that first year, Izuku Midoriya, just trigged a nerve he didn't even know he had.
That huge grin on your face, the way your hand ruffled his dark green hair, the look in the first-years eyes as you pulled him into a small hug.
It really hurt.
You knew that he had doubtful thoughts, and you knew he didn't think highly of himself. So why were you hanging around that first-year most of the day?
You were even a tiny bit late because you walked him to class, that only fuelled the jealousy, rage and sadness boiling in his stomach. Insecurity was fueling the weight pressing down on his stomach as he forced himself to move down the hall, his hands gripping his shirt tightly.
"Tama!"
Tamaki closed his eyes briefly before opening them again, deciding to ignore you like you had been neglecting him. Your voice was intoxicating him as you continued to call his name out, but he knew he couldn't run back to you.
You finally caught up to him, making him squint his eyes in annoyance. He held in the loud sigh he wished to let escape his lips, thinking to himself.
I should've escaped when I had the ch-
"You ok, Tama?" Tama hated the way you acted like everything was fine.
"Yep." He replied curtly, his eyes narrowed as he stared straight ahead of him. Your mouth down turning into a frown.
"You su-?"
"Please respect my privacy, y/n."
His tone was harsh and bitter, a look you had never seen before washed over his usual bright indigo eyes. You couldn't form a coherent sentence as Tamaki continued to walk down the hall, leaving you to get caught up in the crowd of students. You watched as his hunched figure continued to walk down the hall, grief washing over you.
You took a shaky step, swallowing the dryness held in your throat. Your body was trembling and your heart was aching.
You had never seen him like this, even in your rare arguments. The look in his eyes was almost... apathetic and lifeless, it sent unpleasant shivers down your spine. You walked the opposite way, heading to your class as thoughts swam around in your head.
