"Come on, tell me again."

"Avery, love, I've told you how to say it a million times," Kross laughed as he walked back to the bed where Avery was sitting.

"I know," Avery grinned up at him, "but I like to hear you say it."

"You know, if you want me to tell you I love you, you could just ask me."

"Is that not what I'm doing?" Avery teased, before reaching out grabbing hold of Kross's shirt, gently pulling him down to sit on the bed as well, so they were facing each other. "Please?" He whined, dragging out the word so that it sounded like a plead.

Kross sighed, but didn't seem irritated at all. "Okay. But listen this time," he teased, pulling Avery's hands away from his shirt and holding them in his. "Ich liebe dich." He pronounced it slowly, tilting his head slightly as he looked at Avery.

Grinning the whole time, Avery let the words soak into the air for a minute. "See? It sounds so good when you say it."

"I think you've said that once or twice," Kross teased, before tilting his head again. "Why don't you teach me how to something? In sign language," he said, running his thumbs over the back of Avery's hands.

"What do you want to say? You already know how to say 'I love you.' That one's easy." To demonstrate, he pulled one hand away and held it up in said sign.

Kross hummed, thinking for a moment, and then Avery interrupted, dropping his hand back down and finding Kross's free hand with his own. "I could teach you some cuss words."

Kross laughed, though was not surprised in the least. "You're ridiculous."

"Hey, its valuable information! How else was I supposed to call Loni a fuck loser?" He laughed, pulling his hands away and signing along while saying it. The demonstration only made Kross laugh harder, which was something Avery loved to hear. It was terribly cheesy to say, but he loved making Kross laugh, since it so often happened the other way around. Once he started to settle down a bit, Avery grabbed his hands again and pulled him closer, close enough to kiss him. It wasn't intense– more like casual, or safe, as easy as breathing. But once he started kissing him, he never wanted to stop.

They had to though, at some point. And when they did, Avery grinned. "Say it again?" He kissed him again, quickly, and then practically giggled– soft, happy. "I don't care what language."

This time Kross just smiled, and pulled one of his hands away, instead placing it on Avery's hip where his fingers could brush under his shirt and he could pull him a bit closer.

"I love you."
