"Ah!" I woke up drenched in sweat.
I turned to the clock next to me.
2:54 am.
How did I even get back in my room?
My door was slammed open by Briar, with his brother behind him.

"Sorry guys. I didn't mean to wake you up, it was just a bad dream."
I said out of breathe.

They both visibly calmed down. Then they gave each other a glance.

     "I got it." Briar said.
Blake hesitated before nodding at him and giving me a sad look.

Briar walked over to my bed and pulled up a chair next to me.

   I put his hand out.
"Do you mind?"
Of course I knew what he was talking about so I put my hand in his.

His normal brown eyes turned green as he looked into my memory. He was seeing my dream.

I closed my eyes and began to remember it.

I was running into the house. Some one had been chasing me for miles it felt.
My lungs were burning for just a small gasp of air. My legs ached with each step. I was drenched with sweat.

I saw the door I had grown fond of. It was our home.
I tried to open it, but it was locked.
I started banging on it.
"Please! Let me in! Please help me!" I sobbed.

The door slammed open. I didn't have enough time to feel a sense of relief. I hurried in and shut and locked the door.

"Guys! I need help! There's something chasing me!" I was running around the house to find the brothers.

The only room I hadn't checked was my room. Maybe they were looking for me in there.
"Ebony!" I heard one of them yell. I couldn't tell which.

I ran to the door and opened it. It was pitch black.

"Guys?" I called out. No answer.

It started to get hot. I smelled smoke.
Soon enough flames illuminated the room.

I was coughing from the inhalation. The flames were the only light in the room.

I looked down when I tripped over something on the way out.

It was Blake. And right next to him was his brother.

They looked pale and blue. Their eyes were wide and glazed over. Their mouths dripping with blood. I followed down their bodies. In their hearts, lied knives.

I fell down to my knees and covered my mouth. Silent sobs racked through me like it was the last time I would ever cry.

And to be honest, I think it was.

"Please come back." I whispered in between cries.

It hurt too much to even speak.
I wanted them back.

The smoke was becoming too much to handle. I felt myself slowly suffocating but I didn't care.
Before everything went black, I felt something grab my neck.

"I told you, you were next."
I felt my heart stop. For I knew who it was. I made contact with his pure black eyes, before the only thing I could see through mine, was pure black.

Briar let go of my hand as a sob racked through me. He pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back soothingly.

"That will never, ever happen Ebony."
Those six words were enough to get me to stop crying.
