i. honeydew moon

flickering lights

strung up glowing

crackling fireplace

orange sparks leaping

lounging outside

in creaking hammocks

palm fronds

swaying with

light ocean breezes

indigo nights

sprawl above us

so many stars

shimmering above me

glistening  seaglass

and then

you're lying

next to me

warm breath

dancing on my cheek

gazing at

the cosmos

somehow i

found you

in the never

ending sea of

stars and galaxies

but there you

are my glowing

moon at night

shining so bright

that my troubles

inky black tar thick

illuminate dissolving

into a thousand

glowing fireflies

but you

aren't some

luminescent boulder

hugging the sky

i see you

down over here

in my world

as the crescent

moon ascends

reflecting off

the summer teal seas

honeydew green
