Mao Mao paced the floor of his house, Badgerclops and Adorabat watching.
“Don’t worry Mao Mao, this guy will be easy.”
“Adorabat… he won’t.” Mao Mao sat on the couch, sighing to himself. “The guy is a shapeshifter, he could disguise himself as anyone. He could trick us into thinking he’s a friend
and then end us.” Mao Mao placed his hands on his head. “Where did it all go wrong?”
“Mao Mao, it’s okay. We’ll deal with this guy, so don’t worry.” Mao Mao grinned at Badgerclops, happy that he was there for him.
“Well, I’ve got to go to bed, goodnight.”
“Night Adorabat.”
“Night.” Adorabat flew into their room, leaving Mao Mao and Badgerclops alone.
“... I was awake this morning when you did that.”
“What do yo- oh…” Badgaerclops started to blush. “I-I’m sorry, I just-” Mao Mao then laughed, confusing Badgerclops.
“Badgerclops, it’s fine. I mean, if it wasn’t… why would I stay?” The both of them were blushing now.
“Cause you were stuck?” Mao Mao snickered.
“Okay, that’s one factor. But, mainly, it was because I… liked it.” Mao Mao leaned on Badgerclops, trying his best to hold back the urge to run away.
“Oh.” Badgerclops looked away from Mao Mao, his blush growing. Wrapping an arm
around him, Badgerclops gave Mao Mao a calm smile.
“So you know, this stays between us.” Mao Mao got closer to Badgerclops, snuggling up against him.
“Okay.” Badgerclops hugged Mao Mao, him hugging back. The two fell asleep on the couch again, both smiling.
“DANG IT!” The sound of someone breaking pots could be heard deep in the temple, a shapeshifter angrily breaking anything in his way. “I wasn’t even able to get a scratch on him. And it’s all thanks to that STUPID BADGER!” Oam threw a pot at the wall, the wall starting to crack due to the things being thrown at it. “I need to find a way to get to that guy’s head. Oam then looked in a mirror… no reflection. “Wait, how?! Maybe it’s just this mirror.” Oam looked in other mirrors, searching for a reflection. “... HOW!? Mao Mao had one, so did Badgerclops. So why don’t I have one?” Oam touch the mirror, expecting the same thing that happened to Mao Mao to happen to him. Nothing… not even a reflection. Oam started looking around, maybe
there was a reason for this. He then came across some ancient script.
‘Alternate worlds held in mirror, no reflection, no reveal.’ Oam started to laugh, it echoing
through the temple.
“I’m one of a kind, I have no other world.” Oam grinned. “Well if I’m alone, why not make
an army.”
