Mao Mao, Badgerclops, Adorabat, and Snugglemagne ran through the mist, searching
for Oam.
‘Where could he be? He could be anywhere thanks to his immunity to the mist,’ Mao
Mao anxiously wondered, worried about Oam.
“If I hadn’t gotten mad at-”
“Stop.” Mao Mao skidded to a halt. “From personal experience, you don’t want to start
blaming yourself. That leads to an… unsettling result,” Mao Mao said as he turned to
Snugglemagne, sighing to himself. “Let’s continue.” Mao Mao was about to run past an
alleyway, but stopped when he overheard sobbing coming from it. “...Oam?” Mao Mao walked
into the alleyway with the others behind him. Mao Mao shoke Oam’s shoulder, he responded by
quickly turning his head to Mao Mao, revealing his now completely purple eyes.
“I’m sorry, please don’t hate me. Please, please, please.” Oam begged as he curled in on
himself, tears building on the edges of his eyes. Mao Mao, Badgerclops, Adorabat, and
Snugglemagne are silent, both worried and concerned.
“How is he affected by the mist? He’s from the temple!” Adorabat says. Snugglemagne
reaches for Oam, a strong urge to hug him filling his bones.
“STAY BACK!” Oam pushes Snugglemagne back, fear striking him in the heart. He
breathes irregularly, tears running down his face and hitting the concrete ground. “I’m sorry,
please… don’t hate me.” Oam wrapped his arms around himself, tearing up.
“... Oam.” Snugglemagne sigh, then sat down next to Oam. He reached for Oam’s hand,
hoping it wouldn’t scare him. Holding his hand gently, Snugglemagne held it up, kissing it. “I’m
not going to hurt you… I promise.” Snugglemagne’s and Oam’s fingers intertwined, Oam slowly
accepting the touch. Oam’s eyes faded to their normal state. Oam fell onto Snugglemagne’s
shoulder, weak thanks to the mist.
“... Snugglemagne?” Oam looked up at Snugglemagne.
“Oam!” Snugglemagne hugged Oam, slightly crying. “I was so worried! Please don’t do
that again!” Snugglemagne held on tighter, afraid to let go.
“I…” Oam hugged back. “I’m sorry.” Oam leaned in closer, loving the moment at hand.
Snugglemagne let go of Oam reluctantly. Oam quickly stood up, reaching for his arm. He pulled
back, only to be pulled in by Snugglemagne.
“... It’s okay.” Snugglemagne blushed a bit, as did Oam. Mao Mao smirked at the two.
“Okay,” Mao Mao turned towards the temple. “Let’s go!”
