Siddharth - My Wish

'Hows my sweety doing Ajith?" I ask as he puts down his phone

"I didnt text her. She hates that. She doesnt like monitering" He states

"Just wanna see how she is" I say

"She is not 9 anymore "Ajith laughs

"Hey maybe sometimes Im protective" I admit

"Daddy" Anandhi yells 

"Hey theres daddys princess" I say welcoming her

"How was being home with Ajith for so long like? she laughs

"missed ya" I state

" Dad always misses you. Your his everything" Ajith states sarcastically

"That is correct" Anandhi giggles

Then in a sudden Ajiths face goes dull. 

"Hey if mum were here I think -" he starts before looking down

"Hey we dont speak about what has happened okay" I state

"Dads correct. Shes left us. Left us for somebody else. Didnt even think of her kids. Now why do we end up feeling sad due to someone who didnt even think about our lives or what dad wouldve gone through? Dads enough for you and me" She states.

Walking in Ajiths direction, can see him glance. 

"You dont need her. Anandhi is right." I state 

He seems quite tearyeyed. Inside I wanna give him hugs telling him that I too feel that way at times. Feel like Alia shouldve been here. 

That doesnt matter though. 

" Anyway, we should talk about something else" Anandhi says sitting beside me

"That is" I question

"Well, I met someone very special" She says shyly

Anandhi has a boyfriend?

"What? Since when?" I ask

Ajith looks shocked just like me.

"We're just friends for now" She comments

"Thats what they alway say" I grin

"Hey stop daddy" She giggles

"Hey I am just saying. You never know" I laugh

" Her boyfriend most likely nerd like her"Ajith grins

"What? Thats not true. He is far from nerdy. Infact he is stylish and sexy" Anandhi winks

Wow this girl really shocks me. Anandhi using the word sexy? 

"Wow never expected you to be like this" I sigh

"Dads prolly a playboy thats what rubbed off on you" Ajith laughs

"I was not a playboy." I state

"As if!" Anandhi jokes 

Felt quite nice to finally see Anandhi open up and to meet a guy. I always thought she would end up getting in a arranged marriage just like me and Nisha, and everybody knows how that turned out. 

Well our relationship breakng wasnt completely my fault. at times the wonder of how life would be like if Nisha was still married to me come up. I mean, all in all I knew Nisha wouldnt have left me like Alia. Well she did leave me,  due to the fact that I was a complete dick, not due to not having fun. Nisha isnt like Alia. She would have never left her 2 children would she? The worst thing is that Drishti is not part of my life anymore. Dont know where my own family is or how she is doing. Even Nishas parents dont speak to her so there is no way I can find anything about them. 

"Dad whatcha thinking ?" Anandhi asks sitting on my lap

'About your sister?I think

"You seem stressed daddy" She sighs

"Work" I lie

"Hmmmm, can relate.  Uni is so stressful" She confesses

"Well you're already working in my office so no worries" I say

"True. Life is really good right now dad.  Feel like everything is finally workin out for me ya know" she states.

"He must be lucky then" I state

"He is" She laughs giving a kiss

Anandhi leaps off myself. The immense feeling of joy when having her tell me about all her crushes and stuff is nice yet I wonder how life would have been if Drishti was still with me. 

The memories that wouldve formed. Just feel like I am missing out on her whole life. She is the same age as Anandhi, she will have all these feelings yet she will speak to that dick Armit instead of me. Armit will be the father to her than this Siddharth never got to be. 

Drishti wouldnt even know who I am. Nisha woud not tell Drishti. 

Guess thats life though. You cannot get everything you wish to have. And in all honesty this is all my fault. My choices lead to this, and now there is nothing I can do to change that. The wish I have is that one day I get to meet my Drishti. See that innocent face of hers and tell her that I love her, and always will.
