I loved a girl with an ocean in her heart. Afraid of the water and yet tied to the waves. The sun loved her, a child in pain. It taught her to smile, to find light in the sway. Storms gathered to take her cries, small and tied to the tides. I kissed away her fears, and told her I know she survives. Because I love her, she is mine. A child with an ocean in her heart, I hold onto her pain so it won't be on her mind. Falling into the void, I just want her to be fine. The darkness can be peaceful, can be kind. I loved a girl who just wanted to be fine. I just wanted to be fine.
