Nerf war

The nerf war normally is the most fun part of living in the tower, everyone is put into teams. 

Gold team: Peter, Bucky, Nat, Wanda

Red team: Tony, Steve, Clint, Bruce

Now the teams were really to put you against the people you are closest to ('friendly' rivalry and all that), like Peter and Tony, Bucky and Steve, Nat and Clint and Bruce and Wanda. The only problem being that everyone is competitive and I mean everyone. So sometimes it gets a little heated. 

There were protocols and rules that supposedly made the game better and more fun so thanks to Tony and Peter there are now checkpoints located on every floor in Stark Tower and the Avengers compound.

The checkpoints are filled with spare guns, ammo, ammo bags and batteries to power the laser on some of the guns. They operate by authorised people placing their hand on a hand scanner to open the vertical racks filled with everything needed for the war. 

So even though nerf wars are a highlight of the week, it wasn't the highlight today. Let me recap.

It started when we got on the bus. To go on a field trip to my house, yep that happened. Anyway we'll start the story.

--dreamy flashback music--

The field trip was going fine until the little sirens went off and FRIDAY alerted us "Code NGR, everyone involved please take caution, everyone currently participating."

Peter freaks out, he frantically searches through his school bag looking for something. He pulls out a medium sized Nerf hand gun and jumps behind a desk. Cautiously he pokes his head over the top, quickly looking around. He's making a mental note of what floor he's on and what checkpoints are the closest to him.

His eyes are lead to the corner of the room they were in, on the wall lies a hand scanner.

With one final glance around he sprints to the other side, placing his hand on the scanner. Keeping his hand on the scanner he turns so his back is facing the wall and continues to keep an eye on all exits.

Once the scanning is complete FRIDAY states "Peter Stark, gold team. Access authorised."

Peter reaches into the compartment that is ejected from the wall. He unzips his school bag, dumping the contents on the floor. He fills the bag with as much ammo as can fit in there, cautiously glancing over his shoulder.

Once the bag is full, he pulls out 4 nerf guns. One big one with a body strap on it that he immediately slips over his head, two average sized hand guns and one tiny gun that holds one bullet that gets slipped into his sock and hidden by his jeans pant leg.

Once he turns around again he finally sees his class, they are all staring open mouthed and wide eyed at him.

"Listen I know it's weird but I'll explain later, this is seriously important." Peter sighs.

He hears someone's approaching footsteps with his enhanced hearing. Taking one of the hand guns in his right hand he readies it.

Bucky rounds the corner and Peter immediately lowers the gun, "What's going on out there Uncle Buck?"

"Red is hiding somewhere and it looks like they have planned this out, we need your sense to find them," Bucky briefs Peter on the plan.

"Why did this war need to occur now? The trip was going fine, we didn't see anyone who knew me so no one found out."
