the passenger seat has never felt so foreign
your laugh forced and my feelings barred in
i don't think i've ever felt this way with you,
shoulders to ears and thoughts askew
things were supposed to go back to what they were
your lively energy and my thoughts deterred
but you're doing the things you accused me of
hands on bare skin but a heart too suave
i know things weren't defined; uncomfy, confined
but it hurts all the same
i guess i had to learn things the hard way
