"The person who is going to be part of the main plan," Tony explained, "you know, doing all the hard work and such is Wanda. I know you guys might not trust her yet, but I do."
Wanda looked at them, her eyes serious. "I'd give my life for P- for Spidey," she said, hastily correcting herself - unluckily for her, Gwen and Harry both noticed.
When they gave her a questioning look, she hesitated before quickly covering up her mistake.
"Sorry, sorry, I know Spidey's real identity, as do all of the Avengers," she said, clenching her fists before she continued, "and I usually refer him by his real name. Of course, you guys don't know his name, so I have to keep it on the downlow."
"Oh. Yeah, I understand," Gwen said, smiling softly. "When do you think we'll be getting him? And can I come?"
"No!" Harry exclaimed before Tony had a chance to. He blushed when Gwen gave him a weird look, but forced himself to keep speaking anyway. "Because - because this is gonna be really hard, and you'll probably get hurt. And I don't want your dad killing me."
Gwen raised her eyebrows, but went along with it.
"Okay, sure, that's true," she admitted. "But can we have earpieces or something - we need to know what's going on. I'm not letting Spider-Man or Peter down. And I've met neither of them."
"That's my girl," Harry said under his breath, smiling at her.
"I've got the tracker on me," Ned said, "and maybe you guys can just have a copy or something, or maybe I can even guide you guys through the place."
"... Sounds good enough," Tony relented, realising that he wouldn't be able to stop the kids from helping. Besides, Peter said Ned was his 'guy in the chair', right? Maybe Ned would be useful in that sense.
"Awesome, I just need to zoom in and whatever, which won't take too long, and you guys have to gear up," Ned explained. "Gwen, I need you to sort out the tracker for me and Harry... Come with me."
Harry nodded while Gwen stole the tracker out of Ned's arms, attaching it to a computer.
"D-"
"Don't say you're done yet," Ned warned, grinning at her, "you haven't set up the coms yet."
"Right," she laughed, giving Tony a questioning look - probably asking silently where the coms were. He nodded to the cupboard on his left and Gwen immediately made her way to it.
"Mr Stark, can you tell me who else you need to grab?" Ned asked, acting as the leader of the operation.
(Which honestly Tony was pleased with, he was too anxious.
What if he got there too late?
No, he couldn't think like that. They'd find him. They had to.)
"I - I guess Steve," Tony said, thinking hard about who'd be useful. "We already have Wanda, who is absolutely vital, and me... Definitely Nat, she just needs to glare at the villains and they'd run away.
"Clint would feel offended if I didn't include him, so I suppose him too, and Thor's currently is Asgard. Yeah, just Natasha, Clint and Steve."
Ned nodded, turning to Harry. "Could you get them, please?" he asked.
Harry shrugged. "Yeah, sure. If I don't come back, Black Widow killed me. Or I got lost."
Ned nodded, before including his head towards Tony. The man understood what he meant and they walked to the corner of the room.
