Chapter Eleven - Shitty Introductions

Milany's p.o.v

"Aww but you have too wear it, this one makes your ass look great" Val gushed making me try on yet another bathing suit.
She had brought a selection of swimwear over to my apartment for me, today was apparently "beach day."

I didn't mind it was hot as hell in California and I hadn't been to a single beach since I moved here. The bathing suit was a yellow bikini with rhinestone straps on the bottom, it was more revealing then I'd liked but hey YOLO right?
She finally convinced me to wear it but I made sure to grab and over sized t-shirt before we left.
"Everyone is waiting on us" she says pulling out of the parking lot.

I lean back in the chair slightly and pull on my sunglasses "so how have you been holding up?" She asks out of the blue. I had to admit the first week was terrible I cried for days and barley ate, but I somehow managed to pull myself up because depression was a scary thing.

"I'm doing well babe it's still fresh on my mind but I'm dealing" she reached over and gave my hand a tight squeeze smiling "atta girl."
We arrived to the beach quickly finding the others, Matt got really excited seeing his wife pull up. He ran over to us scooping her up into his arms "I missed you it's been to long."

She playfully rolled her eyes "it's only been an hour Matthew" he pouted and pecked her lips "an hour to long babe I'm dying."
He stuck his bottom lip out and she smiled kissing him once more, I smiled they were such lovebirds.

"Hey Milly want a drink?" I shook my head laughing, it was impossible not to drink around these guys "yeah Shads feel me up!" He gave me a funny look I had never called him Shads before "woah when did you turn into one of the guys?"

I cracked up and nudged his shoulder then took a seat on the towel next to Zacky.
"What up Z man" he smiled wide tackling me into a bone crushing hug "oh you know the sky and what not."

Matt handed me a beer followed by a shot of tequila "day drinking? Well I'll be damned" I say before throwing back the shot and chasing it with the beer.
"Woo woo woo woo" Matt cheered, I stood up to take off my shirt feeling comfortable enough around them.

But that was a mistake cause it was followed by Zacky literally wrapping me in a towel "I think your too much women for me please refrain from getting naked."
He was deadly serious and I couldn't help but laugh, Val rolled her and took my hand to pull me up.
"Well Zack you'll have to deal for a moment because I want pictures!"

I knew it was coming the reason Val made me get all dressed up for the beach, we posed while Matt snapped pictures of us. I tried to look as natural as possible not wanting to be one of those shallow girls on Instagram.
As we were taking pictures I couldn't help but notice the tall dark and handsome stranger standing behind Matt. He must have noticed me too because he smiled softly and I returned the favor, Val caught on and nudged me forward "SHES SINGLE!" She yelled.

My eyes went wide as he walked over to talk to me "uhhh hi?" I say shyly, he smiles biting his bottom lip slightly. "I'm Chris but my friends call me CJ, and you are beautiful do you have a name?"
That boy was so attractive I couldn't even put a sentence together! I managed not make a complete fool of myself "Milany.. but my friends call me Milly."

He looked behind me to see Zacky, Johnny and Matt staring him down intently "are those your friends?" He asks shyly, I palm my face he probably thought they would kill him.
"Yeah those guys are like my brothers" he nodded and smiled "ahhh I see care to introduce me?" I was a little taken back but I decided to introduce him anyway.

"Uhhh hey guys this is... Chris" I say nervously, Johnny was the first to greet him "hey man Johnny" followed by Zacky "Zacky V nice to meet you." And the last was Matt "Matt and she's like my little sister" he was ice grilling CJ and Val had to silently scold her husband.

I could tell he was uncomfortable from this "warm welcome" so I tried to change the subject "are you here alone?"

"Actually no me and my buddies were just heading home but then I saw you and had to know you" I felt a blush creep it's way into my face and I tried to hide.
"Don't hide baby girl your gorgeous" now I was definitely red as a cherry tomato "thank you I could say the same about you."

"Really? Well how about this we exchange numbers and I will call you later" he pulled out his phone for me to enter my number, I saved it under Milly. As he was walking away he stopped and kissed my cheek giving me butterflies like never before.

"I really hope I see you soon Milly" I couldn't even speak just nod my head and smile like an idiot, when he walked away I turned to Val "how bad was it?" She bursted out laughing and mimicked the expression on my face.

I sat down and picked up my phone which had a text from an unknown number hey beautiful it's me I couldn't wait.
I smiled and replied hey I'm glad you didn't maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
