She believes in God that's for sure
She respects all religions yet follows none,
As a woman, she had to endure
Abuse and ignorance, all hopes blown.
Was it a crime if she could not follow?
She really tried to believe and to conform
To some ideals that turned out to be hollow.
Man made religious rules that only harm.
I am like her, a woman, her sister in rebellion
Temples, mosques or synagogues, no difference
Even in a barn I'll pray but I'll have no religion.
I deny the original sin, I bear Eve's flag, her innocence.
