There are some days
When you feel admitting defeat.
When blocked are all the ways
It does not mean you are weak.
A hippo cannot fly on its own
Nor the ant can carry the hippo.
If expectations are overblown
You'll find you are no hero.
Learn and know who you are.
Learn to love yourself before
All others. Lonely and far
Is the road ahead, it's your war.
While you seek self esteem, listen sister,
Your essence is too valuable,
If actions belie the words, here my dear,
You have to be reasonable.
At least, you have tried your best
Yes, it feels rough, I hear your sigh,
Don't give up just yet, give it a rest
Even the hippo knows it cannot fly
On its own but it knows how to swim best!
