"Awwh, isn't he the cutest?" Jessica cooed as I told her about what happened yesterday at the library.

I chocked on my apple juice as a response, and she just glared at me playfully.

"Maybe he has a soft spot, for smart girls? In my opinion, he's being extra nice to you so far" Jessica pointed out.

"Well, he has to try harder. It was a disaster trying to teach him yesterday." I murmured, thinking back to what I had to go through yesterday.

Jessica rolled her eyes."Whatever. Oh, and my brother asks you to come over today after school. He says we can all watch a movie together like the old times"

I raised my eyebrow at her. "Aiden asked me? You mean like as an joke?"

"Not sure. He seemed pretty serious when he said it" she shrugged. "He had also been treating me quite nicely compared to before. "

"Maybe it's a big prank on the both of us." I said, finding it hard to believe that he became nice. "Either way, I gotta tutor Andrew after school, so I can't go"

"Or, he had fallen in love!" Jessica said, wiggling her eyebrows. "I once read somewhere that being in love can change a person drastically. Speaking of love, when are we gonna go back to that bookstore where you bumped into Aaron? I still need to get Mason's phone number"

oOoOoO

"When are you going to be free next week?" I said, gathering my things. I just finished teaching him what we had learned today at class. I'm starting to think that this is a great chance for me to also go through my lessons and better understand what I learned.

"I'm free whenever you're free" Andrew answered, leaning in to look at me in the eye.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm being serious here. Will you be available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school?"

"Jesus, aren't you a little bit needy?"he smirked, looking amused.

"You're the one that will be needing me to help improve your grade" I spat back, glaring at him. I took a deep breathe and told myself to calm down before putting a fake smile on my face. "Can you answer my question now?"

"Whatever."

"Okay then, we will meet every other day except for the weekends. Oh also" I continued, taking out my cellphone. "I'll need your phone number so I could contact you."

Andrew laughed. "Wow, that's a smooth way to ask for my number. I didn't know you were that interested in me."

We exchanged our numbers and I put my phone back into my pocket. I groaned and picked up my bag up from the floor. "Anyways, I gotta go."

"To where?"

"I'm meeting Jessica and we're going to Book Addicts."

"The bookstore? Where Aaron works at?" he said, frowning.

 "Yeah, why?"

"Nothing," he said in monotone before he left without saying another word.

oOoOoO

"I swear that I'm gonna get that damn phone number this time," Jessica said, opening up a new contact on her phone and typed in the name 'Mason'.

I glanced over to her and nodded in agreement. "You better do. I don't want to see Aaron outside of school. He kept on sitting beside me in lit now and it's getting a bit frustrating. I can't concentrate on what Ms. Angela is saying when he is tapping his pen on the table."

"Oof, someone's thirsty for attention."

I make a left turn and stopped in front of the book store. "We're here. You can go in by yourself. I'll just stay in the car and wait."

Jessica quickly got off the car and I took out my phone to kill time. I had just opened up Instagram when the car door opened again. I didn't bother to look up to check who it was. "That fast? I bet you got rejected" I said jokingly.

When no one replied me, I looked to my left. Instead of Jessica sitting in the shotgun, Aaron is there, looking at me with an amused smile.

"That took you long enough," he said.

"Aren't you supposed to be working?" I asked, disliking the fact that we're in a small space together.

"I didn't want to interrupt Jessica and Mason's little meeting. Not gonna lie, Mason's actually quite cute" he said thoughtfully.

"He is?" I asked. I looked at Mason through the window, not finding him cute at all. "Nah, he's just not my type."

"Then am I your type?" Aaron said, tipping his head slightly to the left.

I shrugged, not taking his question seriously. "I'm not even sure that I have an ideal type. I never thought about that before."

We stayed in the car and scrolled through our phone for at least another ten minutes before Jessica came back and knocked on the window with a beaming smile on her face.

oOoOoO

The next day, I arrived to school earlier than usual so I could walk around the campus and clear my head. So many things that happened these few days and a walk in the quiet morning could really help.

I walked to my locker to get my books so I could directly head to my first lesson later. I typed in my locker combination and opened the door. Inside my locker on top of all my book was a neatly folded white piece of paper. I frowned and took out the paper to read.

Cheryl,

I have been admiring you for days, if not months. You always work so hard for the things you believe in, and you look so cute when you're concentrating. You have that perfect smile that you always give to other people, but you never gave it to me. Someday, I wish that I can have that smile. And all of your heart.

A.
