I looked around me to see if anyone was laughing at me, indicating that this letter was just a prank. I mean, who would write a letter to ME? And who was A?

This is a mistake.

It's probably for Jessica, since her locker is right next to mine.

I opened the letter again carefully not to bend the paper in case the letter is for Jessica. My eyes slowly moved to the top of the letter. At the top left hand corner, my name was written in a neat and elegant handwriting. It is impossible to mistaken my name as someone else's.

No way. It's my name! That means it's for me!

You've got to be kidding me.

I shook my head, trying to clear the extra thoughts in my head. I'm not going to let this stupid letter destroy my plans for the day. After all, it's just one letter. I'm sure it's going to be the first and last time that I receive one.

I folded the letter neatly and placed it inside my bag, hoping that it would just magically disappear when I open my bag again.

oOoOoO

"Cheryl!" I heard a voice called out.

I quickened by pace, not really in the mood to talk to anyone at this moment.

He ran towards my direction and stopped beside me.

"What do you want Andrew? Hold on, why are you at school so early? There's basically no one here now!" I asked suspicious.

"Erm, I had public service", he explained, scratching his head.

"So, that means you were busy the whole time since you got to school?" I asked, arching my eyebrow.

"Yes, why?" he asked, suddenly interested.

"Nah, nothing. You can go now." I said, trying to end this conversation.

When he was still walking beside me, I stopped and turn my head to him. "I said you can go now!"

"Why? I came and talked to you for a reason," he said, continuing following me.

"Funny, why would you do that?"

"Jesus, Cheryl. What's with the sudden mood swings?" he asked, touching his heart as if he's hurt.

I ignored him and started to walk faster. I dropped my bag on the bench next to me and sat down so that he wouldn't have anywhere to sit at. But instead, he picked my bag up smoothly and hugged it into his chest and sat down next to me comfortably.

"No ew! Give me my bag back!" I said, disgusted by his action.

"But you will have to let me sit next to you until first period starts", he said to me, showing his signature smile. "What is your first lesson anyways?"

"Literature. Just give it back."

What a great way to start my morning.

oOoOoO

This will be the last time that I zoomed out in Ms. Angela's class, I said to myself. Ms. Angela is my favorite teacher, but with everything that happened this morning, I just couldn't bring myself to concentrate. And of course, with Aaron sitting next to me snoring isn't helpful to me at all.
