Chapter 7 - A Wendigo's Respite (Pt. 1)

Sona' POV

Things in our world have been a bit chaotic of late. I mean everyone is still recovering from the great war. Flare especially. We've visited Amy yeah but the poor wolf is still mending the emotional pain. I just need to get over how many of my fellow wendigos died.

"How you holding up this morning hun?" I asked my wife. Yes Flare and I are married.

"Honestly I've no idea what we're going to do Sona. This realm can't afford to go to war or even fight anyone right now yet Michael is not letting up." Flare replied as she sat at her desk

"Wait what?" I asked in confusion then Flare filled me in on what happened with Amybrine and the others

"Geez......will he ever get over all of this?" I mumbled

"Who knows but we need to ensure that everyone in this world is still safe" Flare told me

"I'll fly to Purgatory, Heaven and Hell and talk to them. You wanna take Galaxia and the other two kingdoms?" I replied

"Alright. But meet up afterwards in the shadow plaza with the clan. It would be best if all of them met up with us - children included - just in case things go very badly south" Flare stated then I kissed her forehead before flying to the kingdoms.

Up first: Purgatory as I also want to check in on Daybreak as I heard what happened to her from Amy and Fenrir 

"Ah Lady Sona a pleasure as always. Their majesties are in the throne room if you are looking for them" Pain told me

"Thank you Pain" then I waved as I walked to the purgatorial throne room. Hades, Dusk, Helio, Snowflake and Amarus were here as well as Lucifer but I didn't see Shadow, Scythe or Daybreak

I swear seeing everyone here is always nice even if it's on official business

"Aunty Sona! It's great to see you again!" Lucifer shouted as the young neko ran over to me then I lifted him up.

I may not be related but honestly all of us in the shadow clan are like family to each other so the kids all look up to us that way as well

"It's great to see you as well Lucifer. Wish I was here not on official business but Flare and I thought it best to check in on all the kingdoms as she told me what happened with Michael after Blaze and Amybrine poke with him"

"Oh...yeah Fian mentioned something to me as well but I thought he was just still scared of that angel after everything that happened. Why isn't he letting this go? None of us triggered the great war" Lucifer asked

"That's a question everyone wants answered and yet none of us came close. Have any of you spoke with him lately as well?" I asked

"Not us but Daybreak did when she brought Amy and Fenrir to heaven to track down Grimm Hell-Storm due to what's going on in the mystic isles" then he explained and my god I was furious

"The conflict never ends. Not even my mother or sister are having much luck in researching the war or what's going on back in Amy's home land." Helio added

"I see. On another note how is Daybreak holding up anyways? I heard what happened to her from Amy who's still pretty beat up about it all"

"The medics say mother got lucky with her injuries and she should make a full recovery given enough rest so mom and aunt scythe have been helping her out" Lucifer explained

"Alright. I best get going to Heaven and Hell but Lucifer mind passing on a message to your mothers? Flare has asked if everyone in the shadow clan - kids and all - could meet us in shadow plaza in an hour" I asked

"You got it" then I bowed out so I could fly to Heaven but apparently Ruby and Arus are in hell visiting their son and grand-children. Convenient as that's my next stop.

I landed but felt a pain in my head.

Damn Migraine....

I shook it off then went inside

"Apologies ma'am the royal family are quite busy and thus aren't free at the moment" a guard said to me

"It's alright Leonhart. This is Sona one of the guardians of our world. And a true friend of the hellfire crown" Jasper said when he came over

"Ah I see. My apologies then my lady. I was unaware of the names of the guardians. I knew there were two however" Leonhart told me

"I's quite alright" then Jasper led me to the throne room

"I'm assuming you're here to talk about what happened when their majesties spoke with the arch angel?" Jasper asked

"Mainly yeah and I also have a message from Flare to pass on" I replied then Jasper smiled

"Well regardless of your reason Lady Sona, I know they'll be glad to see you" Japser told me which made me happy

Of all the guards he and Rose who is his co-captain of the guard, are both good friends of myself and Flare

"Your Majesties forgive the interruption but a special visitor came to see you all today" Jasper said to them then I walked in only to get pounced at by Ruby and Fian

"Aunty Sona!" Both of them said to me wagging their tails (what? They're werewolves what did you expect me to write. XD)

I explained everything then the wave of pain in my head came on again but just like last time I shrugged it off. Must have hit my antlers or something

"Sona? Are you alright?" Midnight asked me.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just minor head pains from me probably hitting my antlers on something. Wouldn't be the first time" I replied with a sweat-drop and a smile then left for Shadow Plaza. I arrived then the pain came on a third time but far worse and to the point I could not ignore it

"Sona?" Flare asked when she saw me clenching at my head then she ran over to me and sat me down

"What going on?" I can't lie to my own wife....so I told her about the pain but also that I don't know what caused it

"I didn't tell you before since you have enough on your plate as it is. I didn't want to worry you" I said

"Oh Sona....you would have worried me more had I not known about this but now that I know, I promise I'll help you figure this all out." Flare explained then we just decided to relax whilst we wait on the clan arriving
