"Where is my dinner?" Azira asked to the guards positioned at the doors of the dungeons.

Costas sighed and approached her cell where she was leaning against the gate. He didn't go too close though for he knew that he wouldn't make it out alive.

"It is coming. Just be a little patient." He told her.

"You've been telling me that for the last thirty minutes, human. Hurry up or else you'll replace it." She gritted out, turning to face the guard.

Her fangs were already out and her eyes had already changed into a crimson red shade.

Just as she said that, Mikael made his appearance in the dungeons with a silver tray full of blood bags. The hand holding the tray was shaking but he tried to hide it because he knew if something would happen to the blood bags, he would be the one replacing them. He approached the vampiress' cell, gently placed the tray at the foot of the gate and all of them resumed their respective positions at the door before Azira laid her hands on them and drained them dry one by one.

She tilted the tray such that it could pass through the metal bars and attacked each bag instantly like a hungry predator pouncing on its prey. She emptied them all until she felt satisfied and placed back the tray with the now empty blood bags back on the other side of the gate for one of the guards to pick it up.

After drinking so much blood in just two days, Azira felt different for not only was she satisfied but she also felt revived and fresh. Her strength and powers seeped inside of her making her feel like a brand new fully-charged power house. The glow that her skin once emitted was now back, the garlic in her system was neutralized and all the scars and bruises that had formed during her stay in the dungeons were now gone, leaving her skin flawless. That made her look even more dangerous and predatory than she was and she proudly embraced it for she was now back to her normal self.

'Looks like we're going to have lots of fun.' She smirked, looking down at her hands.

With her powers and strength now fully recovered, she wanted to have some fun with the guards and teach them a lesson for having locked her up in that cell. She thought of a way of getting their attention and bingo! Kicking the tray that was still outside the cell, she was able to gain their focus as planned as frowns appeared on their faces when the sound echoed through the dungeons and glancing at each other, one of them, Mikael, made his way to the cell.

When he reached the cell, he was greeted with utter silence but what really surprised him was the fact that Azira was not in sight. The frown on his face deepened as he opened the gate and entered into the cell, the deadly silence making him swallow hard and a chill ran down his spine as he felt something unusual. The temperature had drastically dropped and a strong aura of death hung heavily in the air.

"C-come out, vampiress. I-I don't have t-time to play with you." He stammered, sweating buckets as fear gripped over him.

He did a full three-sixty-degree turn but came to a halt when his gaze fell on two crimson red beads glowing at him from a dark corner in the cell where light couldn't reach. His eyes widened and he was about to sprint off of the cell and yell for help but that never came because in five seconds, he was lying lifeless on the ground with two red puncture marks on his neck, his eyes still wide opened. Azira went back into the dark corner and waited for her next catch.

The other two guards' frowns deepened when they noticed that their colleague was not back yet. Their gazes flickered between each other and the hallway that led to Azira's cell.

"Why is Mikael taking so long?" One of them, Costas, asked.

"Something's wrong. I'll go and check." The other, Eric, replied.

He then proceeded toward Azira's cell where his eyes almost bulged out of their sockets when they fell on his dead comrade lying on the ground. He rushed inside the cell without noticing that the gate was already opened and crouched down next to Mikael, shaking him and gently tapping his cheeks in an attempt to wake him up but to no avail. Flavius called out for help from Costas who was at the dungeon's doors and the latter quickly ran into the cell and tried to revive the dead man too.

Few minutes of trying to resuscitate him passed by until all of a sudden, they were shaking out of cold and at that moment, they noticed that Azira was not in the cell. Sparing each a glance, they stood up, did a full three-sixty-degree turn and just like Mikael, came to a halt when their eyes landed on two crimson red beads glowing at them in the dark corner but before they could utter a single word, they dropped dead to the floor. Azira wiped the blood dripping from the corner of her mouth and her eyes regained their natural dark brown shade.

She stepped over the dead bodies and was about to exit the cell when the wooden door of the dungeons opened, revealing another pair of guards, whom she recognized as Lucas and Timotei, who were astonished to find the dungeons unsupervised. They looked around the gloomy place but frowned when their gazes landed on the open gate of Azira's cell and glancing at each other, they walked up to the cell.

'Oh! Looks like we're going to play a little bit longer.' She smirked evilly, her eyes glinting with mischief and malice.

She went back to the dark corner of her cell using her vampire speed and waited for them, chuckling as she listened to the cautious steps that they took toward her cell and to their quick heartbeats, thanks to her enhanced sense of hearing. The sound of fast-beating hearts always excited her, making her fangs descend from her gums and her eyes change color. Once the two men reached the cell, their eyes widened at the sight of the dead bodies but little did they knew that very soon, they would be in the same position as them on the floor.

Lucas entered the cell while Timotei remained outside, watching out for any sort of danger. He approached the lifeless corpses and looked around him, only to be met by two glowing red beads.

"What's that? Fireflies? Oh wait no! These are—" The guard frowned but it quickly turned into a deadly scream when a hand from the darkness pulled him toward it.

Timotei was looking at the opposite cell when he heard the screams but by the time he turned toward their source, it was too late. His companion was lying lifeless on the ground among the other three. Fear gripped over him and he started sweating profusedly but when his gaze fell onto the pair of glowing red beads, all colors drained off his face as he recognized them.

"Oh no!" He whispered, his eyes wide opened.

Azira emerged from the darkness, her blood-dripping fangs on full display, making the man's eyes widen even more such that they could come out of their sockets. The fellow human started backing away and he was about to take off when Azira caught him by his neck and pierced his flesh, draining the life out of him while he screamed his head off.

Slowly, Timotei' screams died out and she dropped him on the floor, where he laid lifeless with his eyes wide opened like the four others. She wiped away the blood dripping from her fangs with her tongue and from the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand. The deadly silence from earlier resurfaced itself again throughout the entire place and Azira embraced it.

"And now, let the show begin." She smirked maliciously.
