"What do you want?" Arold broke the awkward silence prevailing between them.

Shaking her head at his lack of sense, Azira crossed her arms and smirked at her father.

"Oh Tata, I didn't know you were such a great idiot." She chuckled.

Her father frowned at her response for he was actually that stupid to be unaware of the reason behind her presence there. However, his guards were not pleased to hear that about their King and they all held their swords and spears against her but it took only one glare from her and all weapons were retreated back, her heated gaze making them shift uncomfortably on their feet.

She returned her gaze on her bastard of a father, stepping closer to him as serious lines settled on her face as she eyed him up and down for one last time before she broke him into pieces. Leaning forward, she murmured something in his ear.

"What I want is very simple, Tata. Moartea ta." She whispered.

Arold's eyes widened as he processed her words in his mind but he instantly regained his composure, his nose flaring in anger as he grabbed the collar of her coat around her neck firmly in both hands.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Tata." She warned him.

"Go to hell, you blood-sucking monster!" He retorted, tossing her body away such that it brushed against the cold concrete floor.

Growling lowly, she pulled herself off the floor, her eyes shifting into crimson red as some guards encircled her, their spears and swords pointing at her. She balled up her fists and glared at each one of them with narrowed eyes, watching how they took cautious steps toward her. She couldn't just stand still and wait for them to bruise her flawless skin.

Turning herself invisible and making the temperature drop, she left everyone baffled as she leaped into the air and silently landed a little distance away from them. The guards each made a three-sixty-degree turn but to no avail for Azira was no longer in sight even though they could feel the dark aura that she carried around.

Arold turned to face his wife who was looking at him with worry and unshed tears. He cupped her face and she leaned in his touch as he placed a kiss on her forehead. Azira, despite being invisible, could see everything and she wanted to empty her stomach at the sudden display of affection. She absolutely despised that and one couldn't blame her though for she never received the tiniest bit of it.

The King then urged his wife inside the vault but the moment she took the first step toward it, the sound of a smack echoed in the air, making her halt and turn around again. Both Adelaïde's and Arold's eyes widened when their gazes fell on the now half-reddened face of one their guards and fear crept over them as his cheek became redder.

Another similar sound was heard, making them flinch as another guard's face tilted to the side. The others started backing away but halted when her seductive voice spoke up.

"Don't even dare to move." The voice warned.

"Show yourself if you are a real fighter, leech. Or perhaps, you are too much of a coward for it." Her father sneered.

Everyone burst into a laughing fit as if that was the funniest joke ever. Even the two guards whose faces were stamped red couldn't contain themselves and joined the others as the sound filled the place.
