Dracula had troubles maintaining his composure as the strong need to kneel down and surrender himself to her overcame him as Azira was the first woman ever whose exquisiteness made him regret all of his previous female encounters for they didn't possess even half of her beauty. She was the definition of drop-dead gorgeous.

"Nice to meet you, Queen Azira." He smirked, stepping forward to reach out for her hand and kissing her knuckles.

The contact ignited an instant spark inside of her for his touch was so warm and for some unfathomable reason, it calmed her. It felt like soft feathers caressing her skin.

Withdrawing her hand and clearing her throat, she asked, frowning, "What are you doing here? And why are you attacking my kingdom?"

"It's the bloodlust taking over them. These are newborn vampires and they are having some adaptation problems." He answered.

"And by doing so, they are destroying my kingdom and killing my people! We need to stop them fast!" She snapped at him to which he nodded in response.

Azira then teleported both of them where her army was engaged in fight with that of Dracula. There, they saw some human bodies lying here and there, completely paled out.

"Summon them back and return to where you came from." She demanded.

The Count tried mind-linking with his men but to no avail as they were already lost in their quest for blood.

"The bloodlust has already consumed them. They won't stop until they are satisfied." He said.

Rolling her eyes in annoyance, Azira blurted out sarcastically, "Looks like I'll have to do all the work by myself, as usual."

Had he been thrown such an attitude in Transylvania, the vampiress' tongue would have been in half by now from the way she just conversed to him.

"Close your ears." She ordered, her gaze on the fighting warriors.

"Excuse me?" He frowned.

He was not used to being ordered around for he was a man of command.

"I said close your ears. Or perhaps you'll prefer them blasted and covered in your own blood." She replied, unamused.

The Count rolled his dark orbs and did as he was told. He couldn't believe that he had just submitted to someone's command, let alone to that of a woman but there was something in the vampiress that compelled him to do so and he couldn't point it out yet.

Azira leaped into the air and casting down a quick glance at the Count who was looking up at her with a raised brow and his hands on his ears and taking in a deep breath and closing her eyes, she did what she thought she would never do again: she let out a sonic scream, the most ear-splitting sound that anyone would ever hear. Her scream made everyone drop to their knees while covering their ears which were already starting to bleed.

The sound filled the air and continued for a few seconds more until she could hear them begging her to stop that painful sound. Halting, she opened her eyes and the scene that revealed itself before her made a proud look appear on her face. The last time she did that was when she was fighting with her own bloodlust more than a century ago. She then landed back next to the Count with grace and ease.

"Trebuie să recunosc, sunt impresionat, Azira." He commented, a surprised look on his face.
[Translation: I have to admit, I'm impressed, Azira]

She just smirked at him and shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't one to be fooled nor defeated for she was the most powerful and the most dangerous female vampire of all times.

Facing the knelt-down warriors, she said, "Count Dracula, retreat your army and return back to Transylvania, right now."

The Count tried mind-linking with his minions again and thankfully, it worked as they push themselves off the ground and walked toward their sire. Those of Azira also did the same and both leaders faced other, her hand held out for a handshake—which was replaced by something else.

"We'll meet again, Queen Azira." He smirked before placing a gentle kiss on her knuckles.

"Desigur, Count Dracula." She smirked back, retracting her hand from his.
[Translation: Of course]

Both of them exhausted, they teleported themselves to their respective abodes where the wounded were treated and given proper medication. As for Dracula and Azira, they occupied each other's mind the whole night, the desire of possessing each other intensifying itself and with that, they tried to sleep.

Sadly, the urge of seeing each other again overcame them, preventing them from having a proper sleep. Getting off of their beds, Azira walked toward the balcony which was attached outside of her room while the Count stood before one of the arched windows in his room and both of them, arms crossed, stared at the moon which shone brightly in the dark night, illuminating the sky.

A small smile crept on their faces as they pictured each other in their minds before heading back to bed where, eventually, sleep consumed them.
