When she materialized near a river in the forest, Azira was so exhausted that she rested herself under the shade of a huge tree, her gaze following the white fluffy clouds floating in the blue sky. It felt so calming that she took a nap while listening to the melodious chirping of the birds that resided in the woods.

Sadly, the moment she closed her eyes, they fluttered open instantly as images of herself being tortured from her childhood till now invaded her mind, bringing along a strong headache. Placing her hands at the sides of her head, she pressed her eyes shut and tried to make the atrocious images go away, a painful groan escaping from her lips.

Since she was non-human, she had never experienced headaches before for the pain was both foreign and excruciating, intensifying itself as the images played in her mind. She lifted herself from the ground and with the help of her super strength, she uprooted the tree before tossing it in the flowing waters, her claws and her fangs already extended and her eyes crimson. Her breathing was erratic and her whole body was vibrating with anger.

She began uprooting more trees and slammed them into the river, her anger intensifying itself after each throw. She was struggling hard to keep her inner monster at bay for it begged to be released until she eventually gave up and allowed it to take over.

Blinded by pure rage, the vampiress ended up setting her surroundings ablaze for since she was a master at manipulating fire, it wasn't a difficult task because in only a matter of seconds, the trees and shrubs were engulfed in large flames that would stop at nothing to turn anything into ashes. Dark smoke swirled everywhere, making the forest dwellers evacuate the place due to the devastating fire.

Azira glided through the trees, blowing fire and throwing fireballs at anything that came into her sight and path of destruction. However, she came to a halt when a female voice echoed among the flames, thanks to her enhanced hearing and following the sound, it led her to its owner—a young human girl sweating buckets due to the heat. The girl was trying to find an escape route in any direction but in vain for the flames would get closer to her and trap her.

The vampiress slowly approached the flames, leaped into the air and landed gracefully in front of the girl but the poor thing was already frightened and having a deadly vampire in her midst didn't help at all. She wanted to make a run for it but that would aggravate the situation for it would agitate the creature before her. Azira could feel the fear rolling off of her in waves and she closed her crimson eyes only for them to regain their natural dark brown shade and retracted her claws and fangs so as not to scare her even more.

"Te rog nu-mi face rău." The frightened girl stammered, slowly backing away.
[Translation: Please don't hurt me]

Her face had become so pale that one could think that she would pass out at any moment now.

"I won't, don't worry. Sunt aici pentru a te salva." Azira reassured her.
[Translation: I'm here to save you]

Wrapping her arms around the human girl who clanged to her as if she was the last drop of water on earth, the vampiress leaped into the air and flew to another part of the forest that was not invaded by the flames of her fury.

Once there, they released their grips from each other, a look of fear and confusion masking the girl's face as she stepped backward but ended up tripping on small rock when something or rather someone held her in place. She looked up at Azira who had her hand wrapped around her arm, preventing her from cracking her skull open on the ground.
