Arold was such a big moron that he didn't even think for a second that his own daughter was playing tricks on him for she was equipped with numerous powers and abilities that none other possessed. In fact, Azira was the only supernatural being in the entire kingdom.

"It was you! It was you from the beginning!" He shouted angrily, pointing an accusing finger at her.

"Took you long enough." She chuckled amusedly.

"You blood-sucking leech!" He roared before charging at her with his sword in hand.

Sadly, that was a very stupid move on his part as Azira dodged his attack by leaping into the air and landed gracefully behind him. He turned to face her, his nose flaring in anger as he sprinted off toward her again but she was too fast for him for every time he ran toward her, she would bolt in another direction using her vampire speed.

"Prinde-ma daca poti, Tata." She sneered at him.

She kept teasing him but instead of giving up and admitting that she was much stronger than him, Arold kept ridiculing himself like a clown in a circus. By the end of that, he was going to earn the title 'King of Fools' from his daughter.

Since the King himself couldn't do anything, one of the nearby guards watching the scene decided to call upon the Queen as a last option as he darted toward the castle in search of Adelaïde who was currently in the library, completely oblivious of what was happening downstairs. He informed her about the ruckus going on outside, her eyes widening as she took in his words and followed by the man, she instantly made her way toward the exit of the castle. Her eyes widened even more at the sight of her daughter making a fool out of her husband and that angered her as she took rapid strides toward her.

Upon reaching her, Adelaïde grabbed Azira's shoulder and turned her around such that they were now face-to-face. She raised her hand but before it could connect with anything, the vampiress grabbed her wrist and held in firmly in her hand. This action on her mother's part infuriated her as her eyes bled over and she squeezed the latter's wrist such that her own knuckles started to appear white.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Mama." She hissed in a low tone.

"Du-te dracu, you monster!" Adelaïde retorted bitterly.
[Translation: Go to hell]

She tossed her mother's hand away and both mother and daughter engaged in a staring contest, glaring at each other with disgust. Azira then shifted her gaze onto her father who was exhausted from running around like a madman.

"Already exhausted, Tata? But the show has just begun! It's such a pity!" She sneered sarcastically.
[Translation: Father]

An angry growl escaping from his lips, Arold repeated his earlier mistake and lunged at Azira again. When would he learn that this was an absolute faux-pas toward the vampiress?

Sadly, instead of connecting with its target, his sword ended up slashing his wife's upper arm, leaving an open cut on her skin. Panic crept over him as he dropped his sword to the ground and rushed to his wife.

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, my dear. I-I did not mean it." He spoke softly, cupping her face in his large palms.

Despite being so cruel and stone-hearted toward his own daughter, Arold truly loved his wife and would do anything for her to the point that if she asked him to abdicate his throne, he would gladly do it without hesitation. His love for her was as real as his hatred for his very own daughter.
