They Say

They told me that me that I am strong
They say that I can do it
They told me when I was young
That I should not lie to them
So why are they doing it to me

They say that's it's going to be okay
They say that it'll go away
They think that they know the pain
But I know that they do not
So why are they acting like they do

They say that it's just a phase
They say that it's just the hormones
They tell me I'll outgrow it
But I know that I really won't
So why won't they listen to me

I've tried to tell them
I've cried out for help
They say I'm looking for attention
Why won't they believe me
