The Inhibitor Rings

Problem Solved?

Shadow's POV
Except... Sonic was missing. If Tails could do all this while I was unconscious...
"How long was I out?" I asked Tails.
"About 8 hours," Tails replied.
"Oh," I say, surprised. I look back over at the wheel, still confused where Sonic was.
"Where's Sonic?"
"Oh, I managed to get the rings off. I'm just... studying them," Tails replied, focused on his work, "He's resting from all the running."
It made sense, Sonic had been running for a very long time. We stay quiet for a while when my stomach acts up. I'm hit with sharp pains and chills from all directions. I curl up into a ball and close my eyes tight. I guess Tails noticed what was happening and he got a heated blanket for me. I tried thanking him, but it was too hard to speak through the pain. I try to fall asleep, but it's very hard to do much but struggle through the pain. However, I eventually fall asleep.

Sonic's POV
I notice that Shadow currently is either asleep or unconscious. Tails does turn to me and tells me he has a few plans to get the rings off. Finally! Not that Shadow's health isn't important, but mine is too. I don't know how much more running was possible. Tails does get off the rings though, and as soon as he does, my running slows drastically. I basically drop dead to the floor, my body exhausted from running for so long. Tails basically has to carry me to my room where I immediately find myself comfortable. I fall asleep immediately.

Author's Note
I decided to come back with a smaller chapter. There were a few cliffhangers the last chapter that I forgot my plans for, so I had to make it up. This story is closing up, actually. And I'm going to add more sonadow elements starting next chapter.
